Hi Anderson, Erica, everyone. Looks like the CDC has its own newsroom for keeping track of the H1N1 or the swine flu.

I wonder just exactly when they'll come with a seed strain for a vaccine.

Dr Gupta said there are 100 million packets of tamiflu?

That is an important pt to make Anderson, that young woman had a fever of 103F. If she hadn't taken some medicine, she might be very ill. Reassuring to know that there is a medicine that can offer that much relief of symptoms. With the flu that's almost as good as a cure. Important pt considering risks of prev swine flu vaccine

I've tried to "wash my hands" after every contact with pretty much everything – and it is nearly impossible. Unless you wear the little bottle of sanitizer on a chain around your neck, I feel like you could get infected by the time it taks to dig it out of your purse or pocket.

Can pets get the H1N1 virus, or is it just humans?

Isn't H1N1 a very good test of our preparedness for a more serious virus? Kind of seems that way to me, even down to the media response. I'd be interested in Dr. Gupta's opinion or anyone else for that matter.

In Mexico today is holiday (Labor Day) and the government extended the holiday until 05 May for to reduce the number of people moving and thus try to contain the swine flu

I tip my hat to Dr. Gupta! I'm thrilled that AC360 has been on top of this story! I know that when I turn to CNN and watch AC360 I'm informed and kept up to date on the latest! Thanks.

Should I be worried about going to restaurants and delis? I know that pork products are safe to eat, but what about going out to eat in general?

I do not quite understand how vaccine for flu work. Since the flu virus changes constantly, is it going to change again? If so, is it possible to make a vaccine that prevent this particular H1N1 flu?

Hello everyone. If the borders were closed knowing that Americans weren't dying there would be an incredible panic. That could be worse than the outbreak. They made the right decision.

Donald Rumsfeld must be smiling now, especially with the potential for all the stockpiled Tamiful just waiting to go out the door and more to be ordered. His stock is much more vaulable now.

Had flu in March, identical symptoms of swine flu. I live in south florida, I believe that it is possible I had this flu. If it is, possible this flu was in the US prior to what they are reporting. I want to get tested.

Buenas Noches Todos! This is absolutely amazing. No one, not anyone, is sick in Puerto Vallarta, or even in the region. People are beginning to think this is some sort of conspiracy. To detract from the drug wars, coming elections, the recent legalization of drugs here in Mx, to bring Mx to its knees so as to de nationalize the oil industry... it goes on and on.
Everyone wants to go back to work!!

I personally think that the CDC and drug companies should make vaccine if they can, when they can – whether it needs to be done right this minute or not. Tamiflu is great, and should be widely svailable for everyone just like flue shots in fall.

Thanks for your updates. A family member passed away this week (from cancer) but most of the family have to fly in for the funeral & are scared to get on a plane. How serious is this threat? All are coming from the the lower 48 or Hawaii to No. California.

It's a good thing this is turning out to be a relatively mild flu. The lack of response in not closing the boarder and ending travel with Mexico was a big roll of the dice.

In the late '70s, early '80s the swine flu vaccine was directly linked with Guillian Barre Syndrome. What are the chances of this happening again?
