Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")

2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)

3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)

4) No links

5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

Good evening everyone. Thanks Anderson, Erica, and your great staff for being on top of everything for us.

For the Mx. government to take the steps they have, closing schools nation wide, businesses, etc... has locals thinking that they know more than they are letting on...
Re: piggies in the neighborhood – In Mx you can usually find pigs everywhere except in major urban centers. Carnitas, anyone??

    Dr. Gupta,

Is there a food that helps to increase immunity and help in the fight against swine flu?

When there was an outbreak of Dengue Fever (in Brazil) was advised to eat yams for to fortify the immune system.

poor little boy 🙁 he's so sweet. glad he's okay

hmm... i hope there ISN'T any connection with this company and swine flu... if so, i smell a lawsuit or at least a LOT of anger.

I think the MSM is blowing this thing way out of proportion. Weren't we just doing this about the avian flu? Many people die from the the flu every year. Mexico may be suffering more from it because of their poor air quality and the fact that their sanitation services are inadequate.

I heard we should not call it swine flu..they named this a more of medical term..is that true?

i go to school today and no one has heard of swine flu...I am really concerned for them....

What the experts are saying that the virus is highly contagious, spreads quickly, and like any flu virus is mutating, which makes the search for effective remedies a race against time.

    Is this exaggeration?

Good evening Anderson. There are more cases in Canada...4 with a mild case in Toronto...so close...somewhat scary.

  20. Rob Edmunds

For Dr Gupta: A number of people have noted that with each transmission, the Swine Flu seems to get milder, with the first transmission, from pigs to humans, the only one that is lethal. If so, what is the structure of the pathology that would produce this? Should we be looking at pigs in Mexico, instead of humans, to find the source? Could Avian Flu have been bred in battery-raised chickens?
ps. don't call it swine flu, call it pig flu, then we can say 'pigs don't fly'.

NPR reported today on swine flu fear of 1976, and hope you will also mention this on your report tonight. people were vaccinated at that time and there was no epidemic, but side effects of flu vaccine led to illnesses like Guillain-Barre Syndrome where the body attacks itself. Looking forward to your program tonight. it's just so important NOT to panic! last night, some of the comments sounded sort of panicky, like getting off the bus if someone sneezes? come on....

Since the oxygen in airplanes is recycled, shouldn't the airlines have an obligation to provide masks at this time on flights to any and all destinations? Has this question come up? Anyone on a plane might be a carrier without even knowing it, making everyone else extremely vulnerable. Some passengers, such as myself, might have a history of respiratory diseases and a resulting immune system deficiency. The pharmacies in my area are out of masks and all I can say, in my instance, is jetBlue shame on you for not protecting your passengers during what is being described as a pandemic. .

    Anderson Cooper,

Argentina announced that will cancel, until Monday, the flights from Mexico, a measure of precaution which aims to contain the threat of contagion by the swine flu.
Cuba also suspended the flights for two days.

Is that right? Who is in Mexico and needs to return to these countries, as is??

    Hello Anderson and Erica!

I served the tables for lunch today in my upscale place of employment, hearing dozens coughing and sneezing. I dumped plates of untouched food, having been pushed away by queasy diners.
I won't lie; I'm concerned. I held my breath and prayed. It's coming...

I guess we'll see how adept our CDC is at biolevel research and vaccine creation...

i think the fact that the CDC says they expect deaths from this is going to be the reason why there are deaths from this.

    Good Evening, Anderson!
    Hi, 360 team
    Hi, friends and bloggers

Today was a tough day. The news in the international press, are frightening. Not by economic aspects, which we are following in recent months. But by the human risk involved, which is much worse.
