All emphasis has been on Mexico City. Most of students are returning from Cancun or Cozumel mexico. What is the status of spread of swine flu in those places?

Are the fatalities from this flu strain due to the disease itself or the complications, i.e. pneumonia? If it is due to secondary complications, would it be wise to get innoculated with the pneumonia shot now? I had a pneumonia shot 10 years ago–should I get another one?

AC, I am a U.S. citizen living in Mexico, people here are looking for medicine. we can't find Tamiflu here and nobody at pharmacy knows about it. Do you know of a different name in Mexico. People here think government is hoarding supplies as well as face masks (all stores are out).

I traveled to Mexico City last Tuesday and would like to know the incubation period of the swine flu? How long to wait before I need not worry that I may have caught the swine flue?

Could there be a relationship between air pollution levels and swine flu fatalities? Mexico City is known for polluted air, so perhaps the lung inflammation aspect of the virus is made worse?

Just turned on AC360, is swine flu really so much worse than the regular flu? Are those who've died been healthy before their deaths with this flu?

when i read that the ages of the people that had died in mexico were in their 20s and 30s, i called my doctor to get a prescription for tamiflu for my son who is 20. i called 2 CVS pharmacies and 2 pharmaca pharmacies and they all said they did not have it in stock and didnt expect to have any until mid June. i'm listing to the young woman who got better with tamiflu, but it doesn't sound as if there is an ample supply in los angeles best, diana

My fiancee and I have our wedding planned in Cancun at the end of May...we have 80 people from across the US planning to attend. We're staying in a resort area, at an American hotel chain....what sorts of precautions should we give to our guests? Can we get a prescription of tamiflu before we go, just in case? Do we cancel our wedding?

There has been a pig-to-pig virus going around that has been killing pigs nationwide. Is the swine flu the same as the virus that pigs are getting from each other?

I have been watching your coverage of the Swine Flu outbreak in Mexico – where I live – and am increasingly disappointed. You who pride yourselves on "understanding the people where they live" seem to not be taking into account the Mexican culture at all. Many people do not go or cannot afford medical care; armed guards are at almost all public buildings, all the time; regular, everyday greetings include a kiss on the cheek and a close handshake, even among business associates. And, teenagers would – logically – be the last to go to a doctor in any part of the world. Please do some more calm research, folks!

    Good evening, Anderson,

Shouldn't people who feel flu like symptoms be told to contact their primary doctor and not flood the emergency centers who are already feeling the rise of people's panic?

My daughter is a college student at UCSD and was sick with the flu this past Friday-Sunday (4-24-26) She had vomiting, diareahea and a fever. Sunday morning she was feeling better and was able to keep some fuids down. Today she is better and back at school. She stayed in her room for 2 1/2 days. I was wondering if she went to the health clinic at UCSD if there is a test to see if she had the Swine Flu?
    Thank you!

I've heard that some teenage fatalities from this flu have died on the fifth day or so due to fluid filling their lungs. This is a result of an overactive immune system response.
Would a doctor giving victims steroids prevent this fatal complication, or would the steroid suppression of the immune system make things worse?

Is the reason there have been no fatalities outside of Mexico because the suspected cases have been treated early with Tamiflu or Relenza ?

watch out it looks like our shadow government has started a bio weapon / they want you to panic so you get a vaccination. i have listened to experts who have worked in bio weapons labs and they explain how these flus dont jump from animals to humans with out being enginiered. the vaccination can be worse than the flu itself.
