Video: Unhappy economic outlook

This week on GPS, Fareed examines President Obama’s first 100 days with Walter Isaacson, Jon Meacham, and Peggy Noonan. And Niall Ferguson talks about the newest perils facing the economy. In this clip, Ferguson says the uptick in the stock market does not mean we are in the clear of the recession.

Anderson, I am commenting on the stimulus money that is being given to people on SOCIAL SECURITY and SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY. I received a letter from Social Security regarding the Stimulus Money that people will be receiving in the month of May. The letter stated that $250 dollars would be given to each individual ,but it also will be deducted anywhere from $30.00 to $60.00 dollars out of the Social Security Disability checks for the rest of the Year. That means we are paying the money back, so it really is not something that is beneficial to us. The money that is being taken out of our checks each month to pay back the $250.00 is MONEY that they should let us keep and they can just keep the STIMULUS PAYMENT or just give it to us. That would be more beneficial to us that need the money that they are taking. What I would really like to know after saying all of this is can you explain, the reason behind the giving and taking of this MONEY.

want to know y were in this economic crisis? the biggest reason is CREDIT! its fine to buy this house and this brand new car on CREDIT, but when u start buying your 1000$ furniture and your 1000$ T.Vs and computers on credit. there lies the problem! are you stupid to realize that its your lust for the best of the best thats drowning you in debt right now! if you cant afford it now what makes you think you can afford it 6 months or a year down the road. smarten up people. stop spending, start saving. thats the only way you will make it out alive, and through this depression!

We now see what kind of government we had under the former administration. Dick Chaney is at the center of all this mess and I believe he ought to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and whether it produced any information or not is completely irrelavent. We are a nation of laws and to lie to the people who support this government with our tax dollars is against our constitution as well as against what we preach around the world. It makes us hypocrits in the eyes of the rest of the world. The Bush administration has put the american citizen that travels abroad at the greatest risk, and our young brave men and women that defend this country and constitution at risk and peril if ever captured by our adversaries. And finally , to blame President Obama for this travesty is completely ludicrous. Bill Bennett as the first drug czar, did nothing during the biggest expanse of influx of drugs to this country in it's history only shows he has no credibility what so ever, and proves that he is merely playing politics with this serious issue to stall the truth from ever being told to the american citizens. We as american citizens deserve better, and shame on him!

It seems like there are more and more displays in the CNN Newsroom which evidences clearly to the viewer expressions of hate, intolerance and love of money, All the things that the same "Christian" society that rapes homosexuals of our faith, strip us of our right to go before God who is the only one that should be defining marriage. God did not command homosexuals not to marry, but he did say "thou shall not kill" never-the-less with a straight face hypocrites exact their true underlying motivation which is hate out on innocent citizens. The same political bullying encourages the bullying in schools which killed those little boys.
I thought we had passed this quiz.

I was just visiting a loan officer at my bank talking about interest rates and stuff. She was talking about how there are indicators that are up but they are anemic at best, poor sick economy. Everyone is still contracting like a Hermit Crab. I'm calling it the Hermit Crab Economy!

Did we forget the Taliban sympathizes with and supports Al Queda? He walks among then as an idle and now walks he walks among them in Pakistan near nuclear weapons. Bill Clinton left them alone and now does the same. When will America learn?

Bill Bennett and other Republicans say the torture of the Sheik led to the disruption of the LA Airport attack but wasn't the attack broken up in 2002 and the Sheik arrested over a year later? If these are facts, Bennett is either terribly ill-informed or lying.
