@Esma, talked to my aunt who works at the hospital, that certain thing can still happen......don't know how, but all I can say is that the human body is just......distorted..
Terrorist were already aware as I and all American were of the torture techniques we committed. This push back is ,as I said last night ,is about the Bush apologists not being able to white wash the Bush/Cheney legacy. We are safer because President Obama had stopped these methods and as for Dick Cheney , his word is not worth spit.

I've heard stories on talk shows of women who didn't know they were pregnant until they gave birth.

I'm glad Obama released the Torture Memos, we now know what we did and we have to own up to it and move on. As much as I'd like for people to be punished, I have a feeling it's just not going to happen.

I do tend to agree...if there is a congressional investigation that could make our intelligence community risk averse...but I still don't think that torture is acceptable and I don't think anyone should be punished or investigated for these memos.
the entie torture story comes down to one thing, one word, one person: Bush. We've not donw this before, we mus not do it again, and the argument that it worked 50% of the time is simply ridiculous! "Roughly half. . ." no kidding

I wasn't expecting to get angry comments about my comments on the blog about the 11 year old boy...It's important this issue, but may be to sensitive to be airing on the news especially twice in the same week.
A woman didnt know she was pregnant–not the first I heard but at least she didnt say she didnt know HOW she got pregnant, right? 😀

I think the US should look into Drones accompanying ships as they travel in the regions know for pirates. Charge the companys a reasonable tax for the service and have a soldier on land control the Drone incase pirates. The Drone could launch from the ship and take care of business. Return to the ship and in secure area. It would create jobs plus add a little tax in the deal and its win win.

Thank you for that diagram of the water boarding "technique." I never really understood how it works until now, and that makes a big difference.
My 12 year old son has gone through the same bullying this year. Our public and private school systems need to be held accountable for providing a safe learning enviroment for all children. I feel a big part of this problem is parents/caregivers are not teaching their children how to treat all people with respect. That means teachers, administrators, school personal all need to step up provide role modeling of proper communication and character. Kids want to belong and right now belonging means "taking down" someone. Likewise, the "gay" comments are the bullets in the take down and sadly the administrators we have had to deal with think that these types of comments are just "middle schoolers being normal". How wrong they are! It has been a tough school year for our family and is part of the reason we are moving back to Colorado in the summer. Thanks for using your show to help find a solution to this horrible problem. One child lost is too many.
Obama's release of what methods we will or will not use means that our enemies would be better prepared. Giving aid and comfort to the enemy has a name.

After visiting Cuba I have come to realize there is propaganda on both sides...a great many claims are being made by Americans who have never visited the country. Pres. Obama is right to make his first steps so talks can begin.

Hi Anderson, Erica, everyone. So nice to see Capt Phillips with this family today. He was humble, but a good captain. And whatever he says, he's a hero for putting his life on the line for his crew.
I think the whole twitter contest went well. Kind of cool that Ashton Kutcher won, sort of the underdog, all for a good cause.
The picture of President Obama shaking hand with Hugo Chavez is quintessential Obama. I know some will think he should have snubbed him , but I think that is just not the President's nature.

It's important that these children are aware that there are solutions to these types of problems. Similar to New York city's "if you see something, say something" campaign, there should be some type of public campaign that promotes equal treatment of young people toward each other. This is a cycle that has not been broken for many years and if this child's death isn't encouragement enough for change, then what is?
Spring in NYC. It's obviously infected the show – you guys have been very up this week – and Anderson took that on the road to Deleware with great effect.. Spring is bustin' ou all over!

In respect to the pirates off the coast of Somalia. I understand that the area to be covered is vast, however, what about having ships convoy and be protected by the various warships instead of sailing alone and subject to attack. Pirates would not dare to attack ships in convoy knowing that protection is there.
I can't wait to hear another of Susan's performances! I took voice in college and I can tell you that singing a cappella like Susan did on LK is not an easy thing to do. I bet most of the famous singers out today could not do it to save their lives.

Captain Phillips should be given a humanitarin awrd for his bravey he overcame such a voltile situation and his is so brave for dealin with these pirates.

unfortunately, people forget too soon when a child is lost, one year after my sons suicide, a girl the same age also committed suicide, from the same school. they made no changes, they learned nothing.
the school officals contributed to my sons death, and yes, i know this, they refused to do anything.

Children are the future of our society. We need to ensure that the right values are instilled in them. the envt at home and at school plays a critical role. Ot is very truly said that it takes a village to bring up a child. Thanks for covering this and for listening patiently. i am sure you know that people like you are role models for many in the present generation.
