Gov. Sarah Plain is back in the spotlight tonight. She's giving her first speech this year in the lower 48. That has people talking about whether she'll run for the White House in 2012. Do you think she should? Share your thoughts below.

And, don't miss Erica Hill's webcast on Sarah Palin and tonight's other headlines during the commercials. Watch our WEBCAST

I watched your report on the torture the United States committed now when David Gergen said that former president Bush told the United States people that we do not torture David said that he was not lying and that according to him we were not torturing why then would these documents be kept Top Secret.

    @ David G.

Thank you for your comments on the CIA and torturing. I do understand that the CIA agents were directed to torture and told it was legal. BUT, it's hard to swallow and hard to not want punishment against the men at the top!

They gave America a black-eye in the eyes of the world.

Those people were very fortunate to have the opportunity to listen to that woman sing. They were very lucky.

On the same show last year, appeared Paul Pots, which also surprised the jury and the public to say that I would sing opera and was simply fantastic singing the aria "Nessun Dorma" of the opera Turandot.

    Simon's face....priceless!

I sort of agree with Gergen on the prosecution of these crimes. It would take up all the administration & the media's time and energy. I don't think Pres. Obama wants that to be his legacy.

  42. laura

I haven't seen the story yet on themother that wants to look like her daughter, but it is already annoying. If you are going to have kids, then get over yourself and be the mother.

@ David Gergen - I agree the CIA agents shouldn't be charged - they were following orders. I'm more interested in the person/people who gave and signed the orders. I would just like them to admit that these tactics are torture and did take place. Take responsibility for their actions, so to speak.

    April 16, 2009 at 10:53 pm |
  45. Isabel Siaba

She has a wonderful voice and a way sweet, shy and simple. Thus, she conquered the world!

I find it sad that a woman has to get tons of plastic surgery just so she can look like her daughter. Grow old gracefully

    April 16, 2009 at 10:52 pm |
  49. Amanda Walton Fort Erie, Ontario

If I spent money to try and mimic my daughter (although she's only 11 right now so something would truly be wrong with me).. but if she was older and I did that she would look at me and say "Mother– Get A Life–preferably one of your own"
