I count 15 separate hot spots – that's staggering. Does it all come from a couple of fires to begin with or are they all separate fires? My prayers go out to the people in this area and the firefighters fighting the flames.
I reside in Oklahoma City and I can say without a doubt that I have never experienced sustained winds like those we are experiencing today in my 31 years as a resident of this city. Just thirty minutes ago I watched as shingles flew off homes across the street from mine while other shingles were straining to hold on, large branches snapped off trees in the backyards of those same homes, and there are numerous reports of house fires and wildfires.
We've (in Victoria Australia) just been through bushfires, my thoughts and sympathy to those affected and advise PLAN TO GET OUT EARLY and TELL PEOPLE WHERE YOU ARE.
Its only stuff; family is what's important.
