I see nothing wrong with Ed Henry asking this question, but clearly he showed anger and belligerence when asking the question. Where was that anger when we went to war with Iraq and killed thousands?

Sure, $165M is a lot to hand out in bonuses, but there are issues much more important than these bonuses.. If AIG and other big corporations had been regulated this could have been avoided. I thought Pres Obama did an excellent job last night.

It is OK to ask tough question to President but the demeanour and substance of Ed Henry's performance last night is an example of Gottcha, populist rating driven journalism that is more focused on cheap popularity to create a buzz than performing actual journalism that is news worhty. Lately CNN is showing more of this behavior through some news anchors which is not consistent to its image and reputation.

I think the President's comment was appropriate, too often reporters ask questions that have no bearing on the substantive issue at hand.

Ed Henry was being ignorant and overly aggressive and deserved the response he got.

I did not see anger what I saw was a President impatient with ignorance

In light of the fact AIG was one of obama's largest campaign contributors, I also wanted to know if obama was outraged (or not) and WHEN. The president works for us. Last I knew "free speech" was still a right in this country; obama's rather snarky response was unnecessary and meant to intimidate other reporters from asking relevant questions in the future. obama got lobbed enough softballs last night including one reporter who didn't know the difference between an insurance company and a bank (FDIC and AIG).

Since when do reporters walk on eggshells while questioning the president? Every president has been asked "when did you...", why is there an exception tailor-made for obama?

I cannot find an email address anywhere for Ed Henry to say "thank you". If by some miracle you read this, Mr. Henry, please know many of us are grateful to you. obama was MSMs "darling" – now that he's in office, the job actually has to get done, and questions need to be asked: obama is not pleased.

Ed Henry's question was very important to the facts and what this administation will do in the future with the economy. Henry clearly asked a question about why the sudden surprised reaction to an issue that was reported in January. Geither brokered the bailout of AIG in September 2008, the bonuses were in the January talks, and the pay outs took place in February and the administration says they didn't know. I think Obamas true colors are coming out. He is simply another politican with a way with words. After all, rhetoric is the art of persuasion. Maybe the questions should be, President Obama was your outrage because you were caught with your fingers in the cookie jar?

Ed Henry should have thought hard before asking a question. He needs to understand that we don't need to prolong the AIG matter or make the matter worse.

Maybe Ed Henry can take a lesson from President Obama; think not only about the question he wants to ask, but how he will ask it.
Henry was confrontational, condescending, totally disrespectful to the president. I was pleased with the response the president gave him. President is a very smart man.

Ed Henry asked a lame questiion and got the anwwer he desevered..
The President expressed his outrage of the "Bonuses" what import is it when he did it. Mr Henry's time would be better spent asking questions of some relevance.
