A national poll indicates that nearly two out of three Americans approve of the job President Obama's doing, but the survey suggests that people appear to be split on how he's handling some aspects of the economy.

Obama's job approval rating stands at 64 percent in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey released Monday. That rating is down 3 percentage points from mid-February.

When asked about the economy, 59 percent of respondents approve of how Obama's performing, with 40 percent disapproving.

We would be nuts not to worry with today economy. If I had President Obama and his teams money, I wouldn't worry about the rest of the people either. Well only if I didn't have a heart to begain with. Anderson Cooper when you're not worried, I won't worry.

I don't understand what polls CNN is looking at. The polls I read show over 50% disapproving of our socialist President Barack Hussein Obama's preformance. 4 of them were done by Lou Dobbs from of all places CNN. Why isn't that being brought up? The American people are slowly finding out that Obama is nothing but a con artist. He would say and promise anything to win the election and it worked. He reminds me of Burt Lancaster in Elmer Gantry. His promises broken was to bring change to the White House. He brought change all right Tax Cheats Lobbyist Racists like Eric Holder, I am not sure that was what the American people had in mind. On a positive not, he will be a one term president and hopefully impeached.

After 8 years of the worst presidency in US history, I feel a tremendous sense of relief and growing hope that President Obama can keep up his wonderful pace of reform and initiatives to haul this nation out of the pit its has fallen into.

President Obama is doing a great job. This Nation is wants a "instant fix to everything. Time, is needed to put plans into action and for them to work through. The News Media programs, Newspapers/publications,Many Republicans and Fear driven american citizens wants an "instant fix" to 8yrs of damage. Good assessments, plans, and "Time" are better than old rethoric, ideas, practies, use of fear now demands that in 52 days everything should be Fix/measureable/accomplish.

    Secondly the election is over.
So why does the News Media, Newspaper/publications and some American citizens still show disrepect to our New President by saying/writing "OBAMA", not " President Obama", "the president", or Mr. Obama.

In this country the USA, not to address or acknowledge an Africian American male or female as " Mr", "Mrs", or the title of a position ( President / First Lady), or advance college degrees ( Dr. ) was a form of disrepect and racial discrimination.

Why is this practice stil going on?

I hope Obama succeeds. I can't understand anyone hoping he will fail – that is a very short-sighted attitude; if Obama and his policies fail a lot of average Americans will suffer for it. How can anyone hope he will fail with the ensuing coincidences?

It doesn"t seem to me that Obama or anyone in Congress is smart enough to protect Americans from the greed from AIG, wall street, oil companies, etc. America is going to fall, because we will never recover from this finanical catastrophe. It seems that BIG money owns our politicions and our legal system.. Our only hope is to stop the flow of bellout money to foreign countries, tax the before mentioned thieves at a super high rate on all their assets. Congress needs to appoint a group of federal prosecuters to go after these people. If congress needs help recovering America's stolen assets, have them to call me. I can come up with some inovative ways to recover a great deal of the money .

Hi I wanted to add a comment for the nation. Has anyone seen "Cocaine Cowboys" on showtime?? it is this big show that last for a while talking about the seventies and rough cocaine drug dealers. Anyways, the show hits on how good the economy was by having all these big time drug dealers purchase houses-like 5, cars-like mercedes and like nothing, building hotels, stars on cocaine, a whole football team on cocaine, and everything was running so well in the economy, there was no complaint. Why? Because the drug dealers from Columbia were buying all these things and had large bank accounts in different countries, but the show tells it all. What I'm trying to hit at is how now, today, you don't have the same kind of drug dealer commotion as you did then because of homeland security, there is even a show about it. So basically it is harder for drug dealers to bring in the drugs then it was in the 70's. Making the economy the way it is now, no one is there to purchase 5 cars 5 houses build a hotel, and throw parties all week. Where is all this money that is coined by the United States??? Ever think if it is not in drug dealers hands, then in whose hands or bank accounts-Maydoff"s, or other money power dealers like him. It is people like Maydoff and AIG that are making this world a living hell for us. They are griddy. Someone find out where all this money is going! If drug dealers would of had it in there hands and not, then where is it revolving? Why is it that even if drug dealers are to get their hands on it, that the money that the United States coins is not where it should be, in the United States! You have all these stingy people saying, "it should be with me", and swindling regular people into thinking they have on-line jobs and taking their money, getting rich, and no one catches them, and it is the same American himself. In the end we are all facing the consequences. How about the lady who ran a prostitute "small business" and made millions with guys having girls for lunch? How about Maydoff, someone kick him in the rear! Where is all the money we need to keep us safe, and someone catch it or those guys!!!

This is as predictable as grass growing and about as impressive. How quickly we need to whine. How ordinary. Republicans don't like his performance and Democrats do. What a surprise..... We complain because Obama can't fix things instantaneously. He's grappling with intense, intricate, HUGE problems not all of which (few of which, NONE of which) lend themselves to easy and speedy remedy. But lets complain anyway.......

One fix – collect unpaid tax from staff.

Story is now that Rahm has his Chigaco home registerd as hq as a non-profit, therefore doesn't pay property tax. Anderson, is this true?

The fact that Republicans like Rush Limbaugh have neglected the past 8 years that created the current economic situation and begun a "blame Obama for the economy" mantra is definitely not helping the situation. In fact, I think it's Rush's and other prominent Republicans who are actually damaging the economy more and creating more fear and distress because that's all they know how to do.

It's really time for Americans to unite behind our President and move our country forward with courage and confidence.
