I am from Ireland a leader in education. I briefly attended public high school in the USA and to be quite honest it was terrible. No way near the level I was used to and this is something that has to be addressed. Start anywhere you can as fast as you can...Thank you Pres. Obama....Thumbs up!

Obama talks about schooling before kindergarten – sometimes the child isn't mature enough by kindergarten to be in it and needs to have the flexibility to wait a year so they can gain that emotional readiness to go and succeed. I don't think the solution to our eduction is more education; I think it is the right education at the right age and letting a child be a child for at least a little while before the demands of school regiment their lives.

state reforme of education will not happen unless major oversite on the federal level is in place california my home state has been taking the money laid out for education for years an lining the pockets of high ranking school administratiors wgho do little to reforem teacher qulifications. honestly clifornia is facing a list of problems but our education sysytem like most of or socila programs are streched to the limit due to imigration problems lets be honest they cross the border have kids get walfare, med cal, education an basicly drain the social service sector of the state an the teachers get the blame for under achievement when she must deal with a class size of 35 to 50 children some not all that come from uneducated poor families now unless we start having are teachers requirments be a socile service degree alonge with there teaching credintials they can only do the best with what they are given

The first thing students need to learn is reading fundamentals; if they can't read how can they learn anything else. I have heard some teachers place the subjects of Math and Science, but if you can't read and comprehend how are you going to learn anything else.
