Tonight on AC360°, there are reports that singers Chris Brown and Rihanna are in a recording studio working on a duet. That's even though Brown is accused of brutally beating Rihanna, punching her repeatedly in the face until she was bloody. He also allegedly threatened to kill her. Oprah Winfrey warns Rihanna he will hit her again. Tonight, we look at the question: Why do battered women go back to the men who attack them? Let's keep this live blog going on this topic. We'd love to hear your thoughts. Sound off below.

Sadly there will be more of the same madness
@Eric – Violence takes root in fear, and those people are, in my opinion, the most fearful, much because of their disturbing worldview.
Good evening, Anderson, Erica, 360 crew and best bloggers.
What a terrible thing to happen in Alabama, and how senseless it all seems. It's scary to think that in a sleepy/normal town, something like this could happen.
I also can't believe Rhianna and Chris Brown are back together like nothing happened. I'm not one to pay attention to the celebrity rumour mill, but young girls probably look up to this woman and she's making herself SUCH a bad role model.
"Oh, it doesn't matter if he abuses me (whether it be mental or physical...) I love him, and I can make him change!"
I'm really disappointed.
Looking forward to the show tonight!

One question: was the police who killed the shooter or it ended with his life?
I offer my sympathies and will keep those who lost someone in my thoughts. We recently had a shooting spree that killed 4.
Did the shooter have any history of violence or anger issues? How do these people get guns?
Casey Jones – Palm Springs, CA, I would not be surprised if this was linked to a job loss, in fact, I suspect we will hear of more of these economy related shootings if things remain the same for much longer.
There was a job loss related stabbing in my area recently – it's scary to think that we *might* be hearing more about these kinds of killings.
OMG things are getting bad all over now. We have got to turn this economy around or people are going to really be hurting bad.
amazing that calls would not hav e come in fast enough to alert the police in communities down stream from the initial shootngs. what a tragedy!
I don't know Anderson, Job loss or not thats an excuse. Maybe we do need to get some control of how guns are issued out in this nation.
People are getting crazier and crazier or else we are excusing a lot of crime today and people think they can do what they want. I know people are up in arms about gun control but something has to be done just letting everyone have guns without first having class and a psych eval before they hand them out.
How heart breaking for all those people with a connection to the victims. I hope that there is no one else planning to take advantage of the shooting by going off doing domething rediculous.
Too bad that these murderers always succeed in taking their own lives instead of being forced to face what they did to these people and their families.
This breaking news story about the shooting is really intense, and sad that there have been so many deaths. Coming up later in the show we're going to be talking with a great panel about domestic abuse and the Chris Brown/Rihanna situation.
Most of the recent mass shootings were also job related/financial. Men killing their families.
It is sad that individuals would ever reach such a state of desperation/instability, and that the innocent have to pay for it.
Good evening Anderson. How tragic this shooting in Alabama. At least 10 dead. Just so horrible!
Hello everyone. Thanks to the police and others for their bravery in Alabama.
hi all, how bout that Obama rally on the stock market!! 🙂
re alabama, sad but no wonder there isnt more of it america is on the edge,
Why is it that the most hianess acts accure iin the South and bible belt of the U.S.
I really hope that shootings like this don't become commonplace, especially if it's because someone lost his job. The details are just insane.
Rikki, there will most likely always be bad news and good news somewhere. The question is: which attracts more attention?

not-so-happy tuesday i guess
ten people including the gunman...
i'd hope we find out why at least
I don't understand what happens to these people. Why are they so unbalanced and take the lives of others?
Despite we have to look at them as criminals, I feel compassion of these people so lost.

Good evening AC360 BLOGGERS!
I wonder if we're going to see an increase in these types of crimes, relative to the extended emotional impact from the economic strain?
Good evening, Anderson, Erica, David G, Jack, and bloggers!
Terrible news on the shootings. Just heard about it a little while ago.
This kind of thing makes me not even want to go outside...this was small town Alabama, not some gang ruled urban area.
