I've never had a helicopter either...maybe we've all been deprived? 🙂 President Obama continues to impress me. He is one of the first presidents or evening politicians that seems to humanize himself...if that makes sense?!
I applaud the President's bold efforts in attempting to cut the deficit. The last administration did not bother. Ending the Iraq war would be a great start. Sen. McCain needs to remember the former President set up the budget for the new helicopters. I loved his Q&A with congress.
Anderson – Glad you are showing "large chunks" of President Obama's Q & A today - I missed it earlier. Glad to see President Obama doing something new - Change won't come overnight, but I do have hope.
The "helicopter" expenditure started with the Bush administration -
Liked the president's response.
Welcome back to Nyc Anderson hope you enjoyed your oscar weekend. Ali Velshi economy for dummies thanks for spelling it out for us !
hello to all my fav bloggers..all you smartees..I find the pres. pretty funny..I've been deprived of a helicopter too mr pres. maybe he should share lol
How can some of the republicans so brazenly come on TV and claim that the private sector alone can fix this?
It is the private sector who made rediculous profits when the going was good, it is the private sector who was quick to drop their faithful employees, and where is it now when the chips are down. They simply ran away - waiting for the situation to improve so that they can profit from every one else. I am sick and tired of every one telling how all attempts to fix the crisis will fail.
How about this solution –
Can we find a few super-brilliant folks – don't care who, where or which religion/country – lock them in a room and ask to solve the crisis? After all some half-Einsteins figured out the CDRs and craft them so that "no-one can understand them". Get one of those super-heros, give them one of those BILLIONS we are spending, and VOILA
We would have a solution for 1-2 BILLIONS.
Thanks Esma........
I agree with you, Isabel!!!!
@ Mike...
I don't know about you, but I certainly would not want to invest in the stock market
Was all John McCain say was ( OF COURSE HOW HE IS SO JEALOUS) how President Obama's helicopter would be a problem. I am glad he answered him back with he had already talked to Gates about it. Made McCain look like a fool, instead of asking amore constructive question requiring what could help the overall economy. ARE WE GLAD HE DIDN"T GET ELECTED
Anyway – when does the healthcare part of the stimulus package take effect?
Hi everybody!
I wish the Prez the best of luck and hope he stays positive and ignore all the haters. The economy can't get better with the haters who are the republicans working 24/7 to make the economy crash, the president fail and the country crash.
Hi everyone.
Okay, NOW can we concede that Obama is trying everything to live up to his promise of bipartisanship?
Mccain really sounds like sour grapes...the $$ for the copters came from bush-maybe mccain could donate one of his own helicopters
Why isn't Ali including the increase4d revenue when the tax cuts for people making over 250 000 and closing the tax loopholes that the rich and businesses hire accountants to find??
I would rather have a president who sets goals then one who lies in budgets and muddles along with no game plan at all.
Question for Ali Velshi: What percentage of our annual budget goes to interest payments on the national debt? Surely that's part of the mandatory spending?
I loved that McCain called Obama out.
Cindy..Ga.
Leave it to McCain to bring up the helicopter. How predictable.
It's nice to know that Obama has an open curiostiy. I like to know that there is someone out there who can be able to ask questions and admit that they don't know about something.
Evening 360 bloggers – thought I'd join in tonight (considering Oscar blogging with Jack was so engaging last night)
I've been following your nightly 360 live blogs for a while watching from the sidelines – it's been interesting to see how CNN is engaging their audience nightly – and providing a great forum for a two-way dialogue on daily issues.
Hello bloggers! Ali always does a good job at explaining things... It will be interesting to hear those questions to Pres. Obama from Congress.
Ali, do you see the Dow hitting 5000 within the next couple of months?
I do.
The private sector should be allowed to fall until prices match their true value-then the government should take them over. In the meantime, we can build the infrastructure, roads, the grid, electrical and internet, schools, hospitals, housing ( turn the forclosures into safe affordable housing) Turn for a society of consumers ( profane) to producers ( sacred). Now that shouldn't be to hard should it.? Win the battle for the hearts and minds of our own heads.
Cheers,
RR
Evening Cooper (two thumbs up on the tie), Hill, Gergen, Velshi, all staff, correspondents, contributers, crew, and panel! Also happy Monday (is there such a thing?) to all bloggers – especially my peeps Rikki, Michelle, Vanessa tx, Brandi, Glen, EJ, Megan, Pati, Chris...Did I miss anyone?
So, what does this constant discussion with the press and people from Pres. Obama mean? Is it him wasting time or is he trying to keep the dialogue open?
Hi, Anderson,
It’s good to see you!
Hi, AC360 team, bloggers and especially Megan, EJ, Mave and Brand!
Evening for everyone!
And the stock exchanges, and banks ... that crazy!
Hi Anderson, crew, panel, Erica and fellow bloggers.
Now i'm getting scared because of DOW numbers.
But, i felt a little better watching Pres. Obama's meeting at the fiscal responsibility meeting.
Hello Anderson. The stock market seems to lack confidence in actions to date.
Ali Velshi is best chief business to show how happened ecomony goes to where is banks. Thanks Al, for information. 🙂
Hello Anderson, Ali, Erica, and fellow bloggers. Great weekend. Looing forward to another great week in the US of . . . . .are we still here?
I have a question..has the national debt ever been @ zero?
Did I understand correctly that Citi wants another $45 billion? Why?!
Oh, Happy Lundi Gras for those of you who know...
Hope everyone had a great weekend I did! Glad to be back on CNN blogging!
Hey, Anderson, Erica, Megan, David G, David (IN), Michelle, Rikki, Glen, Brandi, EJ, Ashley, Jennifer, Vanessa, Pati, Bea, Esma, anyone I missed, and bloggers!
Looking forward to discussing this supposed new face of the GOP.
Hello on Monday, Mr. Cooper and the 360 crew:
The predictions are that it will fall to about 5,000 before it starts to get any better.
Happy Monday – Anderson, Erica and Fellow Bloggers -
Glad to see Ali tonight. We all knew this market growth wasn't sustainable - it was only a matter of time.
Markets react to confidence, perhaps it's time to see some people telling us why the stimulus and housing plans will work - seems like only those on the negative side have been speaking out lately.
Good evening Anderson, Erica, pane members, floor crews, and bloggers.
Hope eneryone had a good weekend.
All the line in the graph going down. What a starter for our new week?
Isn't the DOW just resetting just like everything else? Maybe it was just inflated.
Good evening Anderson, Erica, Ashley, Megan, Brandi, EJ, Vanessa, Chris, Glen and all my fellow evening conversationalists! Happy Monday! There is a lot to talk about tonight! President Obama seems to be making quite a big promise in cutting the deficit in half...I hope he can keep it!
Good Evening All!
We've got to learn how to even things out in our economy.
Good Reporting CNN... I like the idea of keeping everyone honest!

Hey, everyone...Anderson, Erica, all at AC360, and of course, Chris Sosa (Vegan Brutha), Brandi, Vanessa in Tx, Megan D., EJ, et. al...I'm sure I forgot some people (forgive me).
