Good evening and welcome to the AC360 Academy Awards Live Blog. The winners, the losers, Jack Nicholson’s sunglasses…we’ve got your running commentary. And sure, considering all that’s going on in the world, the Oscars aren’t hugely important. But if you’re looking to get away from the bleak news-of-the-day for a few hours, then this blog is the place for you.
We should also point out that we’re not encouraging you to change the channel from CNN, but if you’re going to watch the Oscars anyway, you might as well watch them with us.
And even if you’re not watching them, because of your feud with Kate Winslet or whatever, we think you’ll still enjoy the live blog. I’ll be with you from 8:00pm Eastern Time until the Oscars finish airing here in New York.

Now I really want to skip class tomorrow and watch action movies....some Bond, some Ironman, some Batman, Indiana Jones...and, of course, Mission: Impossible.

Streakers means that nude or public or joke something like that..... Here is somebody who runs naked in public: somebody who runs through a public place with no clothes on, usually as a joke or publicity stunt

I'm fine with the streaking so long as it's Hugh Jackman or Daniel Craig.

What I like about a streaker interuption is the inevitable streaker tackle at the end.
@ Shillie, I loved Religulous. And I think those that are offended by it are probably the ones who most need to see it.
Shillie – Yes! Really liked it! And I'm the VP of a campus ministry in Boston, actually. But Bill has quite a few good points, and an excellent sense of humor. More people should listen up. They might learn something. 😉

I haven't seen the Bill Maher movie, and I don't think I will. He's funny and everything, and I still watch his show on HBO, but his fixation on bashing religion kinda gets under my skin. I don't know I might rent the movie.

Yes, but it seems they always rush through the documentaries.
Definitely bring Jack black or Seth Rogen to streak...they would probably do it.
That may be the first time someone did the circus seal nose balancing act with the oscar statue.

Has anyone else seen Bill Maher's new documentary "Religulous"? Just rented it a few days ago, so funny, could definitely make a lot of people upset though.
