Good evening and welcome to the AC360 Academy Awards Live Blog. The winners, the losers, Jack Nicholson’s sunglasses…we’ve got your running commentary. And sure, considering all that’s going on in the world, the Oscars aren’t hugely important. But if you’re looking to get away from the bleak news-of-the-day for a few hours, then this blog is the place for you.
We should also point out that we’re not encouraging you to change the channel from CNN, but if you’re going to watch the Oscars anyway, you might as well watch them with us.
And even if you’re not watching them, because of your feud with Kate Winslet or whatever, we think you’ll still enjoy the live blog. I’ll be with you from 8:00pm Eastern Time until the Oscars finish airing here in New York.

Might have to try out The Godfather again... Just got the new Vanity Fair in the mail the other day too but haven't had time to sit down and read it, one more thing on the To Do list.
Must say though one of my favorite movies that thank goodness we watched it in one of my government classes otherwise might not have seen it was "A Time to Kill" fantastic film
Ditto Jo Ann. Is it just me or is the show getting a little boring. I think it's too many categories.
I believe Scarface was and still is an all time classic movie. i rather watch Scarface anyday :]

HBO decided to play them completely out of order and i was so lost i had to rent them to watch them in order so i would no longer be confused! lol
i also own all 3 and even went to a midnight viewing of it (and scarface, not on the same nite of course) at the theater.

I honestly had the biggest fangurl crush on Al Pacino after I saw Godfather...OMG he was incredible!

You have to have an attention span longer than 30 minutes to enjoy movies like "The Godfather."

"Apocalypse Now" is the best film of all time. Don't give me that de-facto, "GODFATHER!!!!"
Shillie you have to give the Godfather time. Of course the 1st 30 minutes aren't that exciting. But by then you've only scene what, Connie's wedding, Michael and his girlfriend Kay, Sonny cheating on his wife, and I think that Tom is on his way to California. I don't even think the Horse head scene is in the 1st 30min.
If you though Angelina looked uncomfortable when Jennifer Aniston walked out, wait until you see the look on the face when the Octuplet Mom comes out to present Best Publicity Stunt.
Was Jennifer Aniston actually shivering? I thought she did. I also thought she'd do better. She's an actress after all.

@EJ–set aside a day for the "Godfather" movies, they are so worth it.
I also love the "Police Academy" movies (just don't tell anyone). One of my favorites is "The Brotherhood of the Wolf". Anyone remember that one?

How can you not love The Godfather? "Go to the mattresses" – words to live by – at least every guy I know thinks that.
Rikki – Don't bother. There are better movies out there.
EJ, the first 30 minutes is just the opening. It’s where they lay out certain characters, and the basis for the film, but it gets wayyyy better, trust me. More Drama, more action, more intensity. It may be long, but it’s well worth it.
