To Clifford: amen...amen...amen!!! You hit the nail on the head! And doesn't it just frost your flakes that this hasn't been discussed more. I know we were just fine untill the high gas prices...it was like a giant domino effect...and there was no reason why those crooks should have reaped a 400 percent profit while our economy was headed straight down the toilet.

Keep them honest. Thats a laugh. Tell the truth. Why don't you do a week long special on the way the price of gas broke the worlds economy. Do the research , I bet you will be surprised how right this is. It might just be me but how does my neighbor losing there house cause me not to buy a car. It effects me none so how can you blame the economic problems on the housing and bank problems. The banks say that people spent to much money and now can't afford the bills so congress agreed the way out of this mess is to give banks money so they will loan it out more so people spend money. If I can't afford the bills now, why would I borrow more money and create another bill. What a Joke. You want to create a great story and a big buzz. investigate how Mobile Exxon in a year of a recession and buisnesses closing every day that they can set a United States record on profit beating there own record from 2007. They made 45.2 Billion . Its amazing. In 2004 when gas was only One Dollar they made 12 Billion. When gas reached 4 Dollars they said its because of the cost of oil. there profit is 45 billion. whom. gas went up 400 percent and there profit went up almost 400 percent. Why the goverment has failed to label the price of gas as the direct cause of the economic problems. At 4 dolars a gallon and the fall out in the food grocery stroe prices and utility fuel carge they took 1000 dollars out of the normal house hold income. I bet if you gave all those people back the 1000 dollars a month , wham, no more housing problem and people will start buying again. Prices have come down but are trying to sneak up again. the damage is done. Just tell the truth and cause a senate hearing on how gas companies profits went up and caused this problem. Thank you.
