Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

Good for Mrs. Obama. She has let it be known that her family is her priority. That is VERY refreshing in our society.

Anderson, you are probably too young to remember Howdy Doody. Want a look-alike to Blagojevich and the hair style? Juxtapose him with Howdy. Or maybe Clarabell.

This is so unfair. Anderson already said he was realy tired. Kelly has nothing to do with a husband and like ten kid and a morning show and showing up tonight too. It's not fair to Anderson!

  27. Lorie Ann, Buellton, California

Friday's shot? I guess Anderson must be a night owl. His brain worked better in the evening. Either that or he's a big wow of smarts on germs. Night all.

Good night all - Enjoyed the blog tonight. Hope everyone has a good weekend and that the news is better on Monday. At least the Blago/IL Senate show will provide us with some entertainment.

Here's one...studies show that the average office keyboard has more germs on it that the average public toilet seat. Gross, but it's true.

Looks like Blago is channeling a Gary Cooper western. Can't remember the name of the movie.

The snacking was classic! Anderson, you are a natural!!!

A lot of bloggers seem to be saying that Congress should just give obama everything he wants. I think the Founding Fathers had a more responsible attitute in mind when they made Congress co-equal to the Executive Branch. Haven't a lot of you complained that the Republican Congress giving Bush what he wanted that caused this? There have to be checks and balances, and contrary to many of your beliefs, Obama isn't right all the time.

    Mr. Anderson,
That was brilliant writing tonight on your introduction to the story about the Cowboy Gov'ner! Extended metaphor! Hearkening back to the old movies. Oscar references. So cool. I was an English major. Great delivery, too, with the popcorn. 🙂 You make the day's news fun. Thanks for helping us see the humor and irony in some of the madness.
I loved your humor on the New Year's Eve show. You don't take yourself too seriously like some in TV news. Now I'm looking forward to your commentary on your Regis and Kelly appearance.

I just wanted to let David Gergan know how much people appreciate his thoughtful insights. He helps the average person understand the complex issues of our government and political system. He also shares the same calm demeanor of our new president.

Governent bailout should consider some type of mortgage forgiveness. An amount between $ 50,000 and $150,000; not to profit a dwelling home owner, but to forgive all or part on a primary home mortgage. After all - monthly cash stimulous(sp) will effect more people, and more than once!

Sarah Palin...........11 million for a book deal. Isn't that a bit much for a comic book?

    January 23, 2009 at 10:54 pm |
  47. Mary H. St. Louis, MO

Oh that is funny... Gergen can't pronounce it so he just calls him the idiot... That is classic. I can't spell it so that is why I just refer to him in the blog as Blago...

Popcorn Yum... Now I am hungry...

Sad to see G-Rod losing it. He's now telling "Wild Wild West" stories to try to gain public support. Out of 12 million Illinoisans, a handful have any sympathy for this guy!

Posted by Kassie Wright ...."You know, I won’t even lie, I’d be interested in reading Palin’s memoirs, if for no other reason than to get her take on everything that has happened." Save yourself some money. Palin is on TV almost every week. Her book would be a re-run.
