President Barack Obama is making it clear Afghanistan and Pakistan will be getting more attention under his watch.

The prime example: 17 people were killed today in two CIA missile strikes in the tribal region of Pakistan.

Simply put, Mr. Obama isn't messing around.

But America's enemies aren't keeping a low profile.

al Qaeda has released a new video. It's message this time: "We told you so." The video shows former Gitmo prisoner 372. The deadly attack on the U.S. Embassy in Yemen happened a year-and-a-half after he was released from the U.S. prison in Cuba. The U.S. is certain he was the mastermind of the attack. Now that Pres. Obama is pushing for the closure of Gitmo will all the freed prisoners return to the battlefield? Is all this talk of "Jihadi Rehabilitation" just garbage? We'll talk it over with CNN National Security Analyst Peter Bergen.

If our Government was smart they would have injected prisoner 372 with a tracking device wait till he meets with his terrorist buddies then drop one bomb right on top of his head- taking out the lot -do that a few times- problem solved.

What should we do with all these prisoners? Personally im against shutting down Gitmo, but people dont realize what is at stake here. Some of these guys you might consider them not the "worst of the worst" but it doesnt take much technical skill to blow your self up. If gitmo closes where are we suposed to keep high value non american prisoners?

Hmmm, Obama attacks another country and there is silence from the left. Bush does it and they scream.

Despite Acts of Terrorism, we must remain Americans and be vigilant to uphold justice and the ideals we stand for. A lot of these men and women in Gitmo have no respect for human life but that should not influence our integrity and principles of better judgment, not only for the quality of human life but also to establish an order that does not destroy itself. Its not protecting society to make a beast out of a man or woman and return them to society. No human life should be expendable, to think human life is expendable in the grand design of things slows our advancement. We feed our primitive impulses of hate and anger, and before we know it we become the beasts. Society goes to fascism, genocide, and progress that only leads to its own destruction.

"Two wrongs never make a right." Mr.Obama you are a beacon of hope to this world, some one who can end the mad anger, hatred and enemosities based on religions. If you continue with yor predecessos policies of bombarding "innocen civilians" under "collaterol damage" it would be only another strike buying more enemosity and hatred. At this point we need some one who can restore and "remake" the country not continue kiling people. What happened to the promise of keeping people in confidence and buliding diplomatic relations?
I just hope & pray may you find the strength to follow your ideals sir.

Wow. I guess Obama can drop bombs all over the place and people think he's the best thing since sliced bread. Bush does it and the bleeding hearts are ready to hang him in any public square.

Unreal. The double standards with the bleeding heart types makes me sick.

There are no clear "good choices" for determination of most of the gitmo prisoners. However, if there are to be any military tribunals, they should take place now without further delay and not on US soil.

I'd like to put this out there: for nearly a year, we've been trying to sell a house (fully paid for) here in California with no luck – not surprising, of course.
But on the day of the inauguration, as 3 generations of our family stood with tears in our eyes watching the television, we got the message that 5 offers were made on the house. Today, we are in contract for $25K *over* the asking price (admittedly half what it's worth, though).

Don't tell me that Obama isn't making a difference! Surprisingly, these offers are *cash* offers, not mortgage-dependent. I guess people are deciding that the real estate market has hit its low.

Now THIS is where I disagree with President Obama. Bin Laden made his debut and has since become an anachronism. Killing more innocents in order to 'get him' is worng Mr. President .... DEAD WRONG ! Please I beg of you think intelligently and witth the moral values of this great nation of ours in mind. Don't Dumb yyourself and this nation down to G W Bush's level. Please ! The majority of the American people are better than this and more importantly ABOVE all this. I assure you.

I hope those missile got someone important like bin Laden in Pakistan. Good to see Obama is not going to "mess around" with them. Not good news about the former prisoner of Gitmo doing the planning for the attack in Yemen. Says something about keeping them out of circulation. How did this one get out anyway? Looking forward to the wild and crazy tonight – I need a good laugh today.
