    Hi,Anderson and Erica!
    Hello, bloggers!

    January 13, 2009 at 10:09 pm |
  3. Heather - Spokane, WA

I think this is the new ' Where were you when....?' question. Where were you when 150 billion went missing from the government?

  4. Lorie Ann, Buellton, California

I agree Jo Ann. No one should be let off the hook when they've done something wrong. Regardless of their party.

Hello all. Congress cracks me up. All of a sudden there's a democrat and they get some courage. Yet they rolled over for Bush. If it were still Bush, they'd still be rolling over. They think Obama is the weaker link. He has to show em he's not.

I agree with David Gergen (always the voice of reason) about Obama's recovery plan being passed. The Dems won't let the economy collapse even more.

Errol is also right about Obama maybe jumping the gun about threatening to veto.

Gloria agrees with both gentlemen, how nice.

Do the right thing, PE Obama and give the money to the people! Let us stimulate the economy.

Evening Cooper, Hill, contributers and AC360 staff (oh, and moderators…the hardest workers of all!)

I can’t imagine how frusterating it is to not be allowed to cover the story in Gaza. Especially for Robertson – who has been in Israel long enough that they should make him an honory citizen.

I love the pinstripe suit Cooper. You remind me of a 1920s mobster. I’m digging it.

Why is the Congress upset how the first part of TARP was spent? They authorized the money with absolutely no oversight. You don't give an alcoholic keys to the bar and then complain when he gets drink.

    @Glen Up North

I can't get to the webcasts, either. Dunno what's up with that.

  11. Fay - CA

The Dems asking for specifics about the 300 billion isn't unreasonable especially considering what happened with the first bailout.

  12. Lorie Ann, Buellton, California

Glen up north, I can't get the webcasts to work either.

Come on how could someone who is supposed to be an expert in this field have problems like this? If Obama's people found it so easily Geithner had to know about it. On top of this he has a housekeeper issue as well?????

Why is it called a hiccup when the rich and powerful are involved? I wonder what would happen if it was one of us?

Why should they let this just "pass?"

    January 13, 2009 at 10:06 pm |
  14. Minou, New York City

A veto-threat by the pres-elect... let's get that party started!

    January 13, 2009 at 10:06 pm |
  15. Don, WA

A "tax hiccup" – the only cure I've found for hiccups is to hold your breath as long as you can.

Hi Anderson and bloggers! I can't believe we are 18 days into this Gaza / Israel conflict and still no resolution. That's just sad. On the other hand, we are a week away from Obama's inauguration!

  17. Andrea

The IRS thing amuses me more than makes me concerned – it just shows that filling out our taxes is way too confusing.

Wha's with the Senate Dems? Is it that they believe Obama hasn't paid them enough homage?

    January 13, 2009 at 10:05 pm |
  19. Mike, Syracuse NY

Interesting that Obama has to threaten his own party with a veto to get them to go along. Where's the love?

    January 13, 2009 at 10:05 pm |
  20. Imani from Maryland

I feel really bad for those in Israel...I can not imagine that happening in my back yard.

How can anyone working in the field Geithner does forget to pay their taxes, and don't even get me started on his housekeeper.

    January 13, 2009 at 10:04 pm |
  24. Heather - Spokane, WA

Why would they let someone who hasn't paid their taxes be the head of the IRS? What are they on?

    January 13, 2009 at 10:04 pm |
  25. Mike, Syracuse NY

Very troubling that the Obama camp knew about Geitner and still appointed him.

    January 13, 2009 at 10:04 pm |
  26. Lorie Ann, Buellton, California

Good Tuesday evening. Oh here come the "hiccups" I think it proves that neither party is pure.

Itis not Hamas keeping reporters out of Gaza. Israel is the force that has closed the borders going into Gaza.

Good Evening everyone! Anderson, I want to ask you a question. Well, I think I know the answer but I'll ask the question anways. If Gaza opens their boarders for foreign reporters on Tuesday would you go to Gaza or Obama's inaguation?
