Jack Gray
AC360 Associate Producer

Welcome to our 1st Annual Golden Globes Live Blog.  I'm your host and, in case you're wondering, my qualifications include once riding on the same elevator as Sarah Jessica Parker and working for several years in a video store/tanning parlor.

I'll be with you from 8pm – 11pm Eastern Time.  Now, to be clear, we’re not advocating changing your channel from CNN. But if you’re going to watch the Golden Globes anyway, you might as well watch them with us as your running commentary. And frankly, you don’t even need to be watching the Golden Globes to enjoy the live blog.

Disclaimer:  I'm sure some of these movies/TV shows are connected to CNN through our parent companies Turner Broadcasting and Time Warner.  HBO, Warner Brothers and New Line Cinemas are just a few of our high-profile sister companies.  But seeing as how I've not gotten so much as a free hat or poster, I'm not in the tank for anyone.

If you want to take part in our Live Blog (and we hope you do) please follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (we don't like screaming)
3) Use your real name

    It's a dark black comedy. Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleason are amazing. Surreal at times but funny.

    I meant Colin Farrell. God, I must be getting tired.

    Hi y'all. Just joined. I was actually at the movie theatre seeing, "Doubt." Decent film, great acting. On another note, I worked on Ben Button at WB and let me tell ya, that was an awesome film to work on. Haven't seen it yet, but I hope it does well.

    @xtina: I like Colin. I'm usually turned off by the bad boys, but I like him for some reason. He was good in Tigerland.

    January 11, 2009 at 10:17 pm |
  25. Dulcie - Denver

    @Stacy

    I think it's hard to tell in Emma's case. She's pretty zany. I think she's a scream. I might have to see that new movie with Dustin Hoffman.

    And yes, he's short.

    Laura Linney needed two guys to help her up the stairs and not fall on the stairs. Or maybe she's had a bunch to drink.
