AC360 Associate Producer
Welcome to our 1st Annual Golden Globes Live Blog. I'm your host and, in case you're wondering, my qualifications include once riding on the same elevator as Sarah Jessica Parker and working for several years in a video store/tanning parlor.
I'll be with you from 8pm – 11pm Eastern Time. Now, to be clear, we’re not advocating changing your channel from CNN. But if you’re going to watch the Golden Globes anyway, you might as well watch them with us as your running commentary. And frankly, you don’t even need to be watching the Golden Globes to enjoy the live blog.
Disclaimer: I'm sure some of these movies/TV shows are connected to CNN through our parent companies Turner Broadcasting and Time Warner. HBO, Warner Brothers and New Line Cinemas are just a few of our high-profile sister companies. But seeing as how I've not gotten so much as a free hat or poster, I'm not in the tank for anyone.
If you want to take part in our Live Blog (and we hope you do) please follow our rules.
Here are some of them:
1) Keep it short
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (we don't like screaming)
3) Use your real name
Anderson Cooper goes beyond the headlines to tell stories from many points of view, so you can make up your own mind about the news. Tune in weeknights at 8 and 10 ET on CNN.

As I forget the time zone difference for the first time in my life....
Sorry, Jack!
I missed the whole thing because I was back at work, but thanks for the the up date guys it was like being there/here or somewhere not at work with you lot. Might get me some Bailys.
Oh no! How did I miss this?! It would have made all the thank-you speeches more bearable.
looking forward to the Oscars, then! 🙂
I am delighted to see A R Rahman's talent appreciated by the west, his work in the Indian film fraternity has offered the Indian audience some outstanding music and background scores and I am glad that now his outstanding work can be enjoyed by people world over.
im rooting for slumdog... 🙂
AR Rahman deserved the award for Slumdog Millionare. I must admit that its not his best composition so far, but this goes to show the amount talent the little genius has. Watch out for more of AR Rahman!
Yeayyyyy....MICKEY ROURKE!!!!!!!!!
Rourke is a great talent, his "Barfly" was an unforgettable role, and he should get an Oscar for "the Wrestler".
This man is a natural actor, he has never given a mediocre performance, and really gets into the role he plays each time. Very perceptive, very sensitive, and the bad boy exterior is probably just an act -he seems to be shy in reality, to me at least.
Congratulations Micky Rourke, you had this award coming for a long time now. We wan to see you in as many films and good roles as possible!
