Candy Crowley is correct, President-elect Obama is quiet, because there IS a president, Bush, and he is the one who can offer a solution or ..........not. Its amusing to watch Bush-the-lameduck stand by and do nothing, while the French president is doing all he can to broker some sort of truce or seize fire! Once again, we see the real, George W. Bush.
Obama has many more problems than any typical president inherits. However, I am glad that its him and not G. Bush taking office now! Also, I am a big fan of Michelle. She will keep him grounded:)
By and large Obama's biggest problem is to decide on an approach. Is he going allow things to carry on the way they do in Washington ( with lobbyists and special interests) or is he going to do what is only good for America? Keeping in touch with actual public opinion and feeling the pain of the average Joe is essential.
Americans know that Obama doesn't have a magic wand and it will take time to solve problems. As long as we know he is looking out for us and only us we will gladly bear with him. Hope and change is in order! Increased transparency will help him gain a lot more trust.
Best of luck to Obama!
