Miriam it's just nice to hear the truth about what happened to Jet Travolta...it's been speculation after speculation going around in the media

Hamas should take some responsibility for civilian casualties. They are embedded within the civilian population. This being said Gaza is a very small place so any type of military action (a.k.a. cowardly missles) will be conducted in close proximity with woman and children. As for all of you that keep talking about hamas being democratically elected you have got to be kidding me. Do you really think that they didn't scare the populous into voting for them.

Gadi, I agree with you there: I'd need to be better informed about Israel/Gaza/Palestine. But it would only seem logical to assume that, at least to some Palestines, Hamas seems to be their only hope. They wouldn't be the first culture to place their hope squarely in the hands of terrorists. Otherwise, why would they have elected them as leaders?

I remember once seeing a newsreel of people claiming to be the owners of the lands that eventually became Israel: if I remember the commentary that accompanied this newsreel, these same people were declared "squatters" (for lack of a better word) and the land they claimed as theirs taken from underneath their feet. Was the UN right in their assumption? If people are still angry over 60 years later, could it be there was something in their assumption that was perhaps not 100% accurate?

It is my understanding that the people of Gaza had a chance to get out before the borders were closed - I think leaflets were dropped by the Israeli's warning/urging them to get out.

Good night, Anderson, Randi and Fellow Bloggers.

    Great show, Anderson.

Please no more details about Jett. This time is for his family and not for the media to spread every single detail. I turned off Larry King because it was just way to much information.

I sure hope the media will give them some privacy.

    Hi Anderson

I was listening to Ali Velshi's analysis on tax cuts and other mechanism to boost the economy by Obama team. I always wonder why does America does not see the potential of creating jobs by engaging into public transport system. This will not only create jobs in construction of public transport, it will also sustain jobs to run these systems. Look at some of the other developed and developing country like India, China and other Asian countries. Millions of jobs are in Mass Transit systems. America needs to get out of cars, and start walking, running with public transports. This will also help America reduce it's obesity numbers. Obama team should not fall prey to the lobbying of car companies, rather progress this country towards more mass transit systems that will create and sustain job.

As much as I hate to see what's going on in Israel and the Gaza Strip as well as all the regretable trauma to the citizens (especially in the Gaza Strip), I really appreciate 360 being on top of the story and doing a good job of educating. Thank you!!

    Good Night!!

Sylvia, A long and sordid history always comes down to Israel accepting the concept of a Palestinian state, but the Palestinians (Hamas) not accepting the same for Israel. How do you make peace with someone who says the only way for peace is if you cease to exist? 20% of Israeli citizens are Arabs with the same rights as the Jewish population. Thay too are targets of Hamas rockets.
