Here's how you can be a part of tonight's program. Just scroll down and share your thoughts on the headlines.

Just follow our rules. Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book)
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (we don't like screaming)
3) Use your real name

I agree, Erica; that dog did know where he was going!

Goodnight all; thanks for the news. Have a great weekend and see you Monday!

I am not surprised by anyone anymore, though we pretend we have grown, we are still a very racist country. My neighbors actually made a comment to me while I was wearing my Obama/Biden button prior to the election. she said "They call it the White House for a reason you know."

Erica, I am sorry to hear that there are people who are still without homes 4 years after the tsunami. One of the most terrible things I've ever seen.

Friday's shot? I guess that dog knew just where the milk bone aisle was. Or perhaps he got a whiff of the deli dept. Give that dog a sandwich! Night all.

I completely agree Maureen...not funny at all! Mostly just offensive.

That is a hilarious video! Very smart dog! I think he did case the joint!

Happy Boxing Day! Have a great weekend Erica, Randi and Bloggers! See you all on Monday!

Well its been another great evening AC360 Bloggers!

    Good job Erica and Randi!

Have a great weekend – I have to get back to watching hockey now!
    *LOL*
Honestly you would think that is all most of us Canadians think about! But it is a big game!
Admit it, you have to love your friendly northern "Canuck" neighbors!

    Great show everyone!

I am half black and half white and am frankly APPALLED by 'Barack the magic negro' and I'm all about satire and fun. Even the way the song is sung is offensive, using words like 'dat' because it seems more like black slang.

Barack the Magic Negro came from the Rush Limbaugh show. It has been playing for the entire campaign season. That is not the only racist thing that has been on the show about President-Elect Obama during the campaign.

I have an 8 y/o girl who is such a "santa" fan, I heard about this tragedy this morning and I got a sick feeling in my stomach. All I could think was "there goes the magic of Christmas for this little girl" that to me is said. Christmas is the time of year where everyone is a bit nicer and we try to be more peaceful and then to hear about this.

Getting in late, sorry, Hi Erica, Randi, everyone. I feel these countries, Pakistan, India are under a lot of pressure, esp Pakistan trying to help the US in Afghanistan, needing to come to terms w/India about Kashmir nukes, and working w/ it's own internal troubles.

A lot of snow, holiday weather, but its kind of rough

Where is Anderson? I feel lost without him giving me my news.
    Sean,
Anderson is in Califronia right now...... maybe in Los Angeles or S.F.
He will come back from West Coast before Happy New Year Eve in NYC.....

Somewhere, out there, is the pupster for the Obamas. I hope they get that doggy soon. It's probably hard on the kids to have to wait so long..Pick one soon, PE Obama!

The key to satire is that it's supposed to be funny. I guess they missed that part.

Chip Saltsman's song is certainly not funny!

Erica, I can't belelieve its been 3 years since Katrina or months since Ike and so many are still in need. I find the destruction worldwide so disturbing, but it is nothing compared to how disturbing I find the abuse of power displayed by the current administration when it came to handling crisis' here in our wonderful country

Great job tonight Erica sitting in for Anderson. You might get used to it because he might get snowed in trying to return to NY.

I'd hate to see Pakistan and India in a war. It would be a nightmare for all of us in the world now that we're so connected.

Good evening bloggers, Erica, David Gergen and all. I hope you all have a splendid holiday season. Ed is surely enjoying himself on the Hawaiian beach.

Oh gosh David Gergan – I feel so stupid now for getting my dad a set of boxing gloves today for boxing day! Oh shoot! Oh wait...they came in a box – hah! I'm good then.

    December 26, 2008 at 10:44 pm |
  30. Ken in NC

I hope India and Pakistan do not go to war. That is all the world needs is another war. Maybe we should send Blago over there and let him work a deal.

  31. Candace from Canada

David Gergen great to see you tonight also! 🙂

That is interesting about Boxing day! I thought it was something that the "retail"sector came up with. I will have to check out the NYtimes online.

Wow the weather is really creating havoc out there! I am so glad I stayed home over the holidays, as my original plan was to drive south!

@Niwat: I think so. A boy and girl, I think. I can't remember if I actually saw the reporting or if I just remember from Anderson's book. I can't believe it's been four years since the disaster.

Where is Anderson? I feel lost without him giving me my news.

I loved David Gergen's comment about how the Illinois political scandal wouldn't be in the news unless the news scene was as quiet as it is. Can't we find something else to talk about?

    December 26, 2008 at 10:42 pm |
  35. Rikki, Fargo, ND

Niwat...that is what the clip was from...Anderson was looking for 7 year old Sunera and 5 year old Jinandari

To David Gergen: Happy to be here, now that I have a working computer again!

To Niwat.: I'm pretty sure that's the particular clip, yes.

David Gergen, I really can't believe this country can give a bailout everyone. It just can't happen. Thanks for the explanation of Boxing day. It would be great if we did that here.

Perhaps you the news media could help turn the economic situation around by reporting some GOOD news instead of the constant barrage of doom and gloom, I don't mean we all need to be Pollyannas but a certain amount hope can work miracles, after all that's why 53% of people in America voted for Obama, he had a message of hope!

    December 26, 2008 at 10:40 pm |
  42. Rikki, Fargo, ND

I can't believe it has already been 4 years...and how little progress has been made in the last 4 years

Wasn't the clip from Sri Lanka hospital morgue where Anderson searched for bodies of 2 chirldren?

I don't think the trickle up effect would be that ineffective Rikki, because even if some people bank it all, many will use it to pay off debt, buy new things, remodel, replace etc. That of course depends on the amount of a citizens bailout. We need the economy stimulated and I don't believe banks getting money and not lending, or auto makers receiving loans to build future cars, or even the housing market to offer tax incentives are going to fix the major problem; our dollars buy less, our jobs, if lucky enough to have one, hardly cover what it costs to live and we are by and large a nation struggling to stay afloat.
