Jeb in the Senate?

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush seems poised to run for Senate. For many conservatives that is welcome news. For the Bush-haters and immigration reform opponents, not so much.

So far, it appears that incumbent Sen. Mel Martinez would complete his term. That would seem to be a fine idea for at least two reasons. First, it would separate Jeb Bush from the dynastic appointment epidemic which is both distasteful and potentially harmful to the 2010 re-election prospects of those elevated without benefit of an election. Second, it will allow him to critique the progress of the new administration and the Democratic Congress over the next two years. If we don’t stage a miraculous recovery and the Obama administration’s plans don’t work out quite as planned, Bush and other 2010 challengers will be in an ideal spot.

I firmly believe the country has had their fill of the Bush clan. We do not need another Bush in any form or power, just let them all fade into the back ground on a ranch somewhere, away from people and live animals, or at least send us all a box of shoes to toss.

You know, I kind of like Jeb. I actually thought with his last name he can be tainted but looking closely at his record and what he had done, I think it'll be pretty tough to attach Jeb with the Prez. Plus, is not like Jeb is with Bush all the time and there will be photo ops and so forth(don't ge me wrong, maybe they are). And not to mention that Jeb does know the game in Florida. I do believe it can work a little bit to attach Bush for the most part because he is family but overall, I think Jeb can be fine.

But since Florida did turn Blue since FDR was around, Jeb will have a challenge...

A Bush is still a Bush – no more please. Surely we are smarter than to elect another one. The first one was fairly benign, but the current Bush more than made up with his toxic administration – keep Jeb at home and the other Bush's too and maybe the US might have a chance at cleaning up the mess without fear of a future one.
