The reason things like Sarah Palin's wardrobe, her medical records are still getting conversation is because she is because they constantly paint Barack as not being honest, yet these types of things keep creeping up.

So Anderson, as you can see, even a presidential candidate can dance on camera with no repercussions. Reconsider shaking that booty please? I bet you are better than Barack. Ha! 🙂

Think how many back mortgage payments could have been made with that $150,000.00. Think about how many family homes could have been saved.

You people make me laugh. Whats the hang up with the wardrobe? They are donating the clothes to charity. Just another way to pound on Palin for stupid reasons instead of looking at the facts and problems surrounding your pick for pres. HOnestly, it's getting really old and petty.

Anderson, I can't believe you decided to include Franklin Raines on the "Culprits" list. I never thought you would do it. Bravo!

    Hey guys!,

You think Fannie and Freddie are bad, take a look at Sallie Mae. They've been ripping people off for years.

So now we find out Palin doesn't even know what it means to require "preconditions". How can Tara seriously assert that the media is asking Palin the tough questions, but not Obama?!! Tara is in denial about how unqualified Palin really is.

Just an oberservation, but does anyone else see something in common with the Top 10 Most Wanted Culprits of the Collapse? Elder and out of touch gentlemen, who are in 'cohoots' with the politicians in power at that time. They are masters of DENIAL..

These men all seem to have several things in common, denial, wealth and failure.

Hi Anderson and Erica. As a first time voter I would like to know what makes McCain think he has been tested? Being and fighting in a war is different than leading one.

    Yea Freewheeling Franklin Raines!!! Nice!

Rebecca, That isn't true. I don't think that Palin is painting herself as the average person, I think she is saying that she understands and will be a voice for the average person in the White House. Nothing more.

What would people say about Gov. Palin if she didn't wear tailored clothing or have her hair and make-up done??? Woman are the worst when criticizing other woman!! The wardrobe is a sexist issue.....and doesn't help solve any of the problems we face. Stick to the issues people!

Wow Joe, Obama spent a whole 768 days in the senate before running for President. What's the tthreshold? 500 days? 250? The fact you count it in DAYS instead of years is appalling.

Flying one's family is not an issue. Wh pays for it is. Most companies pay for employees travel not the whole family. Why shouls government be different?

Hey – give Palin some credit! I'm sure it's easy for a hockey mom like her to get carried away at Neiman-Marcus – especially when clothing in Minnesota is not taxed! Wait, is that being pro-American?

    October 22, 2008 at 10:48 pm |
  24. Michelle - Pittsburgh, PA

Anderson – Are you going to extend the culprits to 20? I think there are plenty to name. Also, are you going to take the suggestion of one of your other listeners who suggested that the American people could be considered culprits to the extent that they "bought into" the easy credit? Think it is worth considering!

Warren Buffett, Colin Powell, Oprah Winfrey... that's a pretty impressive line up of endorsements. Who does John McCain have "Joe the plumber", who I guess is not really a plumber.

Maybe its just me but when Palin responds to a question she doesnt give direct answers. She is too wordy and runs on.

Can't wait to read the TIME article. This is so awesome. A visionary like Obama is just so exciting. Should he win, It will be really exciting to see he who pulls into his cabinet. I envison diversity, intellect and Republicans, Democrats and Independents. His technique for reaching across the isle will not be a traditional one.

If Palin really wants to "reign in spending", as she's so fond of repeating she may as well start with her extravagant wardrobe.

i agree with joe klien i really don't care about palin's health
however i do care about john mccain's

$150,000 for Palin's clothes...this stinks. I don't think Joe 6-pack and his family spend that kind of money, nor do they have it. She's again is setting a double standard.
If I were a donor to the RNC, I'd be furious that my money went to Palin for clothes. Obviously she and they have no sense of the economy or what's doing on in this country. Bad example to set.

I wish Wolf would have pressed McCain more on his criticism of Obama's tax plan. He never gives details of his own plan and can't give facts to back up his criticism. Ditto for the "being tested" stuff. McCain knows darn well what Biden meant and no matter who is elected , the person will be tested. I am so over McCain Palin.

  32. Cassandra

$150,000 for what she's been wearing, I've often thought she looked like she grabbed the jackets to one suit and the skirt from the other. But what do I know, maybe I'm just sad because I don't make $150,000.

    October 22, 2008 at 10:46 pm |
  33. Traci

John McCain has never been tested as President of the United States. If we've learned anything, it's that some of this country's enemies invite a challenge and I think he just double-dog-dared them.

David Gergen – Obama's appearance today with his "national security advisors" was an obvious photo-op that carried no weight. He is not a man of deeds, only of words.

If the McCain campaign wants to waste $150,000 on clothes to put lipstick on a bull dog, then that means it's $150,000 they aren't spending on ads and GOTV. Being an Obama supporter, I'm delighted!

    October 22, 2008 at 10:45 pm |
  37. Martie

David's right – McCain's biggest problem is that Sen. Obama is looking more and more presidential and McCain is looking more and more petulant and non-presidential.

Anderson David is right Obama is looking more and more presidential and less facial expressions like mccain

It's not a sure thing until the polls close on election night. The endless analysis does nothing but whip up hateful words thrown from both sides. Lets vote and calm down. Just my opinion.

  41. Steve - southern Illinois

The fact that John McCain can not shut up about 'Joe the Plumber' who professed that he would be earning $250,000+ in the future shows precisely where McCain's priorities are. I'm beginning to think that he thinks people earning that kind of money are 'average' citizens.

    October 22, 2008 at 10:45 pm |

McCain is tested – McCain blew up the Forrestal. Just cause you were tested doesn't mean that you necessarily pass.

Mr. David Gergen is on the money. Sen. McCain speaks of being experience, but he look as if he is inexperience. Yes, Mr. Gergen you are on the money......

$150.000.00 for Palin's wardrobe......$700 billion dollar's for a Bailout....$150 billion to AIG from the Tax Payer's......A BRIDGE TO NO WHERE?....PRICELESS

That is $2,500 a DAY for clothes and such for the 8 weeks we have seen her!!!
And Obama has been in the public eye since he gave a speech a the 2004 election so he has already been 'vetted' by the media compared to Palin's little less than 2 months!!!!
