It is good to see so many well known republicans showing their independence. People like Susan Eisenhower,General Powell, Ken Adelman, etc. are true Americans who love their country and want what is best for the citizens of this wonderful country. After what we have been through these past eight years I don't blame any of them for standing up and voicing their honest reasons for not voting for McCain/Palin. Thank goodness we have people like them who feel so deeply about their country and the mess we are in to come forth like they have. Congratulations to them.
No Intelligent Republican will support Palin ticket. Her pick is embarrasing to intelligent men and women of American.
And yes there will be a Revise Bradely effect because there are still resonable Republicans who understands the nightmare of Palin.
Pretty sad when members of your own party can see through the crap. It's rather too late for Mccain to try anything new. Doesn't matter to most anymore. As soon as he picked Palin he was over. Funny no one has even "really" stepped up to say that he picked her because she was a woman...of course he can't be labeled as sexist. Palin has never been forthcoming about anything....from the first words she ever spoke about the bridge to nowhere...she was missing a lot of extras. And based on her interviews, she's missing a lot of extras period.
Yeah, I love the way Palin cheats her state and then holds up the Bible like she is soo religious. Religious when it is convenient right Palin. And, don't send witches my way............
Being a Canadian and watching this election from a-far, all I can say is "May God have Mercy on the U.S. if McCain/Palin make it to the White House".
Marylou you are correct, they are dropping like flies.
And didn't Palin make a comment about the VP job, she'll run the Senate....pass good legislation,etc.. Does she know her vote is only to break a tie.
Gosh, she can control her 'cook' own books, just like the greedy people who were running companies who have gone under, or the govt. is bailing them out and the CEO's of the companies have made a fortune for running them very irresponsible.
Carol: Please get your story straight. OH! I'm sorry you are watching CNN aren't you? She did charge the state, only to then pay it her self. Do you honestly think that everytime Obama's family joins him someone else isn't paying for it? And how long, has this idiot been out of politics, and does it really matter what he thinks of any of the candidates? He is just another flunky like Powell, who has fallen into the KOOL-ADE induced coma, called Obama-Land.
"Inclusion is the key to survival"
Cooperation’s are diversifying their workforce, so is the military, sports teams, churches...you name it! They all realize that racial bigotry and racism is a cancer that will make their organizations less competitive and less appealing to the masses. If the republicans party leaders do not start actively promoting diversity in their party, they will perish.
Slowly but surely, voters – whether they are in the spotlight or not – are showing their hearts and conviction, not voting for party simply because it's party, but voting for the man they know is the better man, will be the better leader. Colin Powell, Susan Eisenhower, Mr. Adelman – and all the unnamed who have made their decisions based on MERIT not PARTY.
Bravo for honesty!
She's a known liar, power abuser, and worse.
Want her in power with the first Dud strong-arming and trying to fire everyone? Thinks but no thinks
(Dud not a typo – thinks is the the way she pronounces thanks)
Then there's "Let's tock about it" (Tock not a typo – it's talk).
Oh Lord, Deliver us from this woman.
I find it very interesting that some of the most trusted people in the Republic Party cannot, out of good conscience, support the Republican Ticket. Being a former Republican (now Independent) I'm please that I'm leaning toward the correct decision.
BTW, Murtha is absolutely right in his assessment of western Pennsylvania voters. The McCain/Palin ticket is creating hatred and division. Hurray for Joe Bidin's comments today.
Did anyone else see the Assoc. Press article about Palin charging the State of Alaska for taking her kids on trips? Very important State business, of course, that teenagers needed to attend. Things like snowmobile races and trips to New York. Not the mention all the days she charged to the State for staying in her own house. Then she had the expense accounts altered afterwards.
When she's not lying, distorting the facts, or inciting a mob, she keeps busy by cooking the books to rip off her fellow Alaskans.
No wonder even Repubs won't support this ticket.
they are dropping like flies...
If you listen to the far right , just like Colin Powell, Ken Adelman must be a commie pinko racist. Yea right.
Too bad Petreus is not alowed to give his opinion on how he would feel about taking orders from Palin! huh?
Sorry, Campbell brown is Having Sarah Palin on Socialism now.
She should be very familiar with this great tradition to redistribute wealth. Alaska's government has a huge surplus and each gets an annual dividend of $2000 , they also get a check she's approved for $1200. Yet she has no problem when wealth from the rest of our hardworking get earmarked on sent to her state. Is that no redistribution wealth. And not her states wealth. She didn't have any problem request a redistribution of our wealth for her state. A state that receives the largest redistribution per person. HOW DOES THIS WORK! You obviously take from those with less, just so you can give your own more. I don't believe we are part of your annual dividued check. Anyways, this sounds like the same socialist works going on with the bailout. Giving somebody that has money just because you can. Please descuss these facts. They should be using their own money for their own importments.
Well, Senator McCain does have a good relationship with the Reagans...hey, trying to be nice here, O.K? LOL!!
I even remember when the lovely Nancy Reagan endorsed Senator McCain. If I'm not mistaken, Senator MCCain was the only one left! LOL!!!
