Defense Secretary Gates gets emotional

Steely-eyed Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who formerly headed the CIA, is known as a tough leader - but he’s also known to get emotional when talking about wounded troops. When it comes to the responsibility of sending men and women to war, he takes it to heart. Gates choked up at the Pentagon today while speaking to wounded warriors and their families, particularly upon recounting his visits to Army hospitals.

I would have to agree that guilt is eating him up. Sending these honorable men and women in harms way for bush and oil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If only Colin Powell showed the same remorse for having backed WMDs at UN.

If only George Bush would have had misty eyes before he declared the invasion of Iraq. These soldiers are dying needlessly in a country that wants us to leave, we should take them up on it.

It is good to see that people still hold these men and the work they do close to their hearts, it seems most of the world have lost touch with them. Our prayers are with them.
