Were Vegas Cops out to get O.J?

Editor’s Note:

O.J. Simpson is on trial for robbery and kidnapping charges nearly a year after police arrested him in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prosecutors say Simpson and five other men stormed into a Las Vegas hotel room last September 13 to recover sports memorabilia that Simpson said belonged to him. They say at least two men with Simpson had guns as they robbed two sports memorabilia dealers. The following dispatches come from our Paul Vercammen covering the trial.

Were Vegas Cops out to get O.J?

That's what his defense team wants you to believe.

And on cross examination of lead detective Andy Caldwell Friday, defense lawyer Gabe Grasso was able to play eyebrow raising secret recordings after the alleged armed robbery.

The recording of police in the room contains expletives and unflattering remarks seemingly about Simpson.

Grasso tried to hammer into the focused jurors' minds that the police transcription by Caldwell, of sting middleman Tom Riccio's recordings, are inaccurate and biased against Simpson.

At one point the courtroom tensed up when someone apparently linked to the police, after the alleged armed robbery said "California can't (bleeping) get it done, now we'll get it done."

The defense will argue the police were talking about arresting Simpson and the detective's transcript did not contain the expletive..

But Caldwell's testimony also provided the prosecution with evidence that Simpson made a flurry of phone calls to alleged co-conspirators.

The calls were made before and after the incident at the Palace Station Hotel.

Caldwell testified the calls made after the sports memorabilia sting concerned him because he's (Simpson) trying to affect outcome of the case."

In more stark words, the prosecution will say Simpson got on the phone to try to convince witnesses to save his neck.

    It's obvious a material evidence is the key issue on prosecuteing O . J . S .
With out this material evidence. How can any court prosecute any person
who is in the process on getting his/her personal
property? The main issue on the material evidence-is who, where, when such M . E . became present. Who's the owner?Where did it come from? When was it authorized to be at the location?Trace the original history of the material evidence. You will find the true meaning on the meeting at the Palace Hotel.

There is no doubt that the police were out to get O.J. if some unknown person would have done exactly what happened they would not have been charged or if they had it would have been a minor charge.
Listening to the tapes of the police officers talking leave no doubt they were out to get him no matter what. Beardsley asked to have his charges dropped and they refused! How come they are not required to drop the charges against O.J. if the victim requests it? Las Vegas is trying to punish him for his past not this event.

Government resolveing a human problem with $700 billion is only temporary because such actions by many governments in various countries in the past have not solved the problem.

The root causeof human problems :

"The human thinking is born out of some sort of neurological defect in the human body. Therefore anything that is born out of human thinking is destructive"- quote by UG.

Why there is no solution to human problems ?

"We have no future at all as long as we try to get the answers from the past that is dead. Anybody who says,"Look back or go back," has no answers to offer us"-quote by UG.

You have got to be kidding me. A normal law abiding citizen would have gone to the front desk of the hotel and asked to talk to the hotel manager. They would have explained their situation and asked for their help. The hotel manager would have contacted hotel security to help. Then the police would have been called. Oh did I forget its a hotel and the safety of the guests is the hotels responsibility. I dont think most people or hotels take to kindly to guns. Maybe its just me but if Simpson was thinking he could just care of business with gang hes about twenty something years late. The mob is long gone. Of course they would have taken him to a undisclosed location in the hot desert. Has his faithful defense lawyer from Florida ever watched COPS? They have enough to deal with in Vegas.

If OJ wasn't out doing ridiculously stupid stuff then he wouldn't have to worry if the police was out to get him.
