O.J. Trial: All white jury?

O.J. Simpson is on trial for robbery and kidnapping charges nearly a year after police arrested him in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prosecutors say Simpson and five other men stormed into a Las Vegas hotel room last September 13 to recover sports memorabilia that Simpson said belonged to him. They say at least two men with Simpson had guns as they robbed two sports memorabilia dealers. The following dispatches come from our Paul Vercammen covering the trial.

The Clark County Court information office reports, the O.J. Simpson jury is made up of 11 white jurors and one female "hispanic juror of Mexican decent."
The information was derived from looking at the juror questionnaires, according to court spokesman Michael Sommermeyer.
Reports of the panel being "all white" had been called into question and CNN and other news organizations had been pressing the court to reveal details of the jurors make up from the questionnaires.
The main panel is made up of nine women and three men.
The alternate panel includes a Black male and a Black female.

Since when does White = Racist?
If i'm not mistaken, wasn't most or all the jury in his trial for murder all black?? Color shouldn't make a difference, but I think it did on his first trial. This was watched by the employees where I worked when they were going to make an announcement of Guilty or Innocent and all of the black people jumped up and cheered when he was pronounced innocent. Not one black person thought he was guilty or even cared. They felt (I asked numerous black friends) that blacks have been found guilty in past trials on color alone and they wanted to see a famous black get off. They didn't care if he was guilty.
Come on Vickie in Mo. O. J. was aquited REMEMBER? It doesn't matter if Nichol and Mr. Goldman were black, white or pink with purple stripes. Fact remains O. J. was aquited by a court of law. thats the way we do it in America. The current case has nothing to do with the murders. I wonder why people like you and the news media feel like they have to link the two crimes like they are tied together some how. I'm not an O. J. and never have been but I do believe when the courts set you free for where reason then it's a done deal until such time as new solid evidence says differently in a court of Law. If there is a conviction in this case, u mark my words, pappa Goldman and others will say, "Finally justice for Nicole and Ron". This will not be their justice because it is still possible that there is a murder out there who did indeed get away with murder and I'm not talking O. J. Simpson. An what about justice for O.J.? Does he not have the right to fair trial in the care before the courts now?
Why should color make a difference to O.J.? Nicole was white! I say, there should be no discrimination on his part !! Must be in fear for his own life, huh? "KARMA" If, you ask me. he should be nervous. I'm sure he knows that, since he got away with something before. It's not going to happen twice. How invisible does he think he really is? What are his mental evaluation's? Makes me wonder!
oj will he ever just go away. since i got layed off last moth due to lack of work a good part of my day is spent monitoring the current election. and it upset me to have election coverage interruted by oj crap. i don't think he killed his wife ,because obviously you can see he is not very bright.
What's wrong with the jury being all white except for one Hispanic???
No one complained when O.J. was on trial for murdering two people and the jury was all black except for one white woman. Thus he got away with two murders simply because he was a football player.
I hope he spends the rest of his life in prison. No one is more deserving.
I am sure that we should worry about race here, but isn't OJ the most aqcuited black man in America?
This seems very lopsided – 11 white and 1 hispanic...??? This will only come back to haunt the courts and yes, we all want OJ to pay for, not only this crime, but the one previous as well. I don't believe this is the way to try and do it.
This is a trial that should have never happened.One thing Rodger is the High DA In Nevada he wanted this trial to happen to convict Simpson. With the all white jury of 12, Rodger, Judge Glass, Perfect set up for a trial in Las Vegas.Not a fair trial for O.J.Simpson.Judge has allowed the Pros to bring everything in.Totally a disgrace to our Justice System In Las Vegas, Riccio is the guilty one.He went free with the rest of the 3 soon to be 4 co defendants.
How can a Blackman like O.J.get a fair trial with all white jury.No way No how. Rodger will see to that as he has said before the trial. I will get him convicted in Nevada . Since they did not get him in California. Riccio should be on trial he lied to everyone about what was going to go down. Simpson,Beardsley, Fromung,He told the sellers a rich man was coming to buy their Items not O.J.What a sham of a trial this is .Only to convict Simpson.of the past not the present .Not what happened on Sept 13 th.That is all you see on Tru Tv simpson in the 1994 case .I truly in my heart think O.J.did not kill Ron & Nicole.I do not care he was found not guilty by a jury of his peers.Not a jury of 12 white people these are not his peers.No fair trial for O.J.In Nevada.Mistrial that is what it should be. Again I say Riccio is the guilty one. He walked free Rodger allowed that to happen along with the other 4 co defendants. To get the conviction he wants of Simpson.
IF Oj is found guilty, this will be the immediate reason for his appeal.
It's OK. White guilt will get him off.
The defense was thinking strategically.
Where does the kidnapping come into play? If everyone was still in the room, who was kidnap? Also where did they get the picture that OJ's mother had in her home? This is all a set up. I'm not an OJ fan but I can see a setup by the police and DA office.
This goes back to colonial law, especially for black people....our peers were often, under the cover, referring to whites being our peers...so you toss in 1-a person of another color(ed) descent and call it fair....whose justice. We all know what this is about - when adults stop acting like spoiled children, then justice can prevail. But whose justice is this?

OMG...so now you all are going to throw the race card in on this trial? To say that white people can not have an open mind and not consider all of the facts without having bias from his previous trial is just ridiculous! The jury was questioned and approved by O.J.s attorney.
I can't believe the medias intent on always making everything that they can about race.
