Three more members of a polygamous sect led by Warren Jeffs are now facing sexual assault charges associated with the "marriage" of teenage girls to adult men.
That brings the total number of FLDS men indicted by the Texas grand jury to 9. Does that sound like a lot to anyone?
It's been eight months since Texas authorities raided the Yearning for Zion Ranch–taking 400+ children into custody. It's been four months since the courts ordered the state to send them all home.
We don't know the names of the three new defendants. The other six, including Warren Jeffs haven't gone to trial yet..
Texas authorities say the investigation is on-going. I hope we will learn soon where this investigation is actually going and when they plan to get there.

From what I have read prosecuting the women would be like prosecuting an abused woman for being abused. One of the main reasons this goes on is that women are not thought to be as valuable as men – they are there to serve men. I hope they indict every man at the FLDS in Texas – they are all complicit in one way or the other.

Thomas, you think its ok to rape and abuse these young girls? The State of TX were acting in thier best judgement. They have to protect the children since thier parents will not. I would like to think that everyone sees that making a child become a bride to make a man feel better is very sad. They have to protect children that is what ALL Department of Family Services does. Sick men that think it is OK to do this to these young girls should be casterated to protect all children. I hope they all go to prison and get the same treatment they are giving to the children and women. They will then find out what it feels like to be raped and abused.
The real crime occured when the state raited the XYZ Ranch. 400+ children were needlessly traumatized by the state. If this were about justice, they would indict Anglie Voss.
Why aren't all of the "adults" being held responsible for these crimes? Unless I have missed something, no WOMEN are or have been prosecuted! Why are women, who were and are present during the times that these CRIMES have been committed AND are still being committed being held EQUALLY Liable? There is something very Wrong with our legal system that holds a "Double Standard" with regards to sex crimes against children, as well as Bigamy! Am I the only person who sees this, or is prosecuting women for the same offenses and complicity as men, too politically dangerous for the law and the MEDIA to deal with?
Good! They need to keep indicting!
9? Are you kidding me?
You know ever single one of those sickos should be indicted!
I am glad that the Texas authorities are actually taking this serious this time and are prosecuting these men for sexually assaulting these girls. They should have been doing it long ago! Hopefully they will get enough evidence to arrest them all!
