I think I have just herd another well written speech from the Bush speech writers. Anderson when did a Vice Presidential candidate ratet his kind of coverage?

ok! Sarah is speaking again. Oh wait she is repeating the same speech once again. Speak woman, we are waiting to hear from you.

When will Sarah Palin actually speak to journalists about the issues instead of subjecting Americans to her cheerful cheerleader speeches?

Healthcare, education at all levels (NCLB is awful!), and alternative energies (think wind...being from Kansas and all!). Those are the issues that matter to me! The candidates and their staffs have got to pull this election out of the gutter and start really addressing some real issues.

Sarah Palin is starting to sound like a broken record. she seems not to have a voice of her own...same script over and over again.
There's no passion behind her words, this is insane... America open your eyes. This woman is not the answer to our problems, let her go.

Palin is kicking some butt I kinda like her she sounds like someone who really cares and has her stuff togather

    September 10, 2008 at 11:48 pm |
  8. Ronnie

I hope they give this woman a new script soon. This one has gotten old. It appears that neither she nor McCain can move on. They are going to make CNN boring. What pipeline I understand it won’t be started until 2012.

This is the same speech she has given everywhere.....

Okay ....enough....I am continuing to watch only so I can see what Anderson and David have to say about this speech....

Listening to her speach, regardless of its' scripted nature, she
is very much at ease and enjoys speaking to the public more than
McCain does. The points are a simplified, populist slant but fit
    her delivery well.

Would someone please tell me why it is necessary to cover Sarah arriving at home in Alaska?? Do we need to follow every footstep? Issues, please, not People Magazine type coverage. Don't sink to that level.

    September 10, 2008 at 11:47 pm |
  13. Cecelia

Same speech comments tailor made for Alaska!

She sound just like the Texans (Bush) that only talk about drilling. The natural gas pipeline is not our only answer for energy independence.

  14. sarah B....Durham,NC

hmmm...does Palin mean that McCain will give tax relief to all American...and Hard-working ppl......but only those who make over $250k??>>>.....sorry, me and most ppl i know are NOT one of those....

    September 10, 2008 at 11:47 pm |
  16. Shane, Montreal

Ok so she's for alternative energy, so that means she cares about the environement.

    September 10, 2008 at 11:46 pm |
  17. Rose

Did she just say McCain-palin will give tax to all Americans? Did not CNN just gave the breakdown of the parties tax plan and only the upper echelon would benefit from McCain's plan? I must have misunderstood – NOT!!!

    September 10, 2008 at 11:46 pm |
  18. Steve

how many times is she going to say Alaska. Please move on!

    September 10, 2008 at 11:46 pm |

Her speech is same old, and not a word of ........... solutions!

And, its still a snowmobile to us New Englanders.

  20. Ron Passmore - Springdale, Arkansas

I've heard this same speech so many times this week, I can quote it. I assure you, there is nothing in it that explains how its going to help the country.

I'm watching a car wreck and can't turn away, I can't believe these 2 are for real. I am at a lost for words.

Wow....a stump speech in Alaska..... Why don't we just get a Sarah Palin standee, put it in front of a microphone, and hit the play button on the tape recorder please?

    September 10, 2008 at 11:46 pm |
  23. David, Gaston sc

Senator Palin is starting to sound like a broken record….same speech different day…nothing new here! Still not talking about HOW they're going to "change" the legacy of the last 8 years.

I am outraged that you are carrying the live speech by Sarah Palin. This is her usual speech full of untruths and you are carrying the whole thing. Is this newsworthy?

Erica, I guess alot of comments are streaming in. It’s updating like a 3 legged turtle running on full steam. Is anyone else have an update challenge?

    @ Lorie,
That is good question...... my interent is also slow and my comment is not posted few times. one reason maybe problem tech is so slow and lots of comments.

I once was excited about this election with the whole idea of CHANGE. I will be voting for the first time in a presidental election(maybe)this year but all the negative media is a complete turn off. It seems as though we've lost sight of whats important. Lets talk about the ISSUES.
Higher education is becoming unaffordable and healthcare cost is rising those are ISSUES. Is a Lipstick comment a REAL issue when we've heard it before? Is this really "change" or "shaking things up"?

Why are you covering Palin's landing? This is hard news?

The press is making her into a celebrity–its certainly not her politics.

    September 10, 2008 at 11:33 pm |
  29. Jeff C.

What would happen to Palin if she actually had to talk to the media, or anyone answering basic VP questions, without a teleprompter. She's in Alaska - and needs a teleprompter! Even Bush doesn't use a teleprompter in Texas.

Did you see how she just walked right past her infant? She kissed her one kid on the head...but walked right past Bristol and Trig.

Let's stop talking about overall percentages and look at the electoral college map. And let me be clear, McCain needs to win nearly EVERY battleground state.

He MUST win Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, Florida, AND Colorado to win the election. All but one of those states (Michigan) was carried by Bush. So Obama is putting in play all the states Bush won, plus carrying all the Kerry states.

No matter what the national polls show, it comes down to the electoral college. And McCain can't afford to lose any of them.

Why are we waiting for her arrival? This is as stupid as the lipstick on the pig talk.

  33. Lorie Ann, Buellton, California

All shooting stars can fade, David Gergen. But some don't. I think Governor Palin deserves to be given the chance to show what she can bring to all of America. We'll see.

I no longer have any respect for McCain. His campaign is disgusting
    with its negativity and lies.

I can not believe that the media is giving this [lipstick nonsense}- this type of attention. Please, we really need to get to know Gov. Palin and that what the news media need to focus on.

Go Sarah, continue to baffle the pundits!!!

Anderson...so why are you perpetuating this soap opera around Sarah Palin?

    September 10, 2008 at 11:29 pm |
  38. mamello, canada

why is every body saying "both candidates have to go back to the issues" it seems Obama is talking about the issues but McCain/Palin still talk about E-bay,thanks no thanks, bridge to no where.

This night is important for Alaska, but I'd rather see you covering a hurricane or traveling theworld.

this kind of seems a bit much for an airport arrival, even if she is going to speak.

Hey it finally landed. How many people are on that plane? Sort of big.

    September 10, 2008 at 11:25 pm |
  42. Pam

Is the public really that interested in Sarah Palin.. or is the public being fed that interest via the media because that is all they are covering.

    September 10, 2008 at 11:24 pm |
  43. Willie Collins

Obama needs to go back to the rock star campagin. McCain's camp scared him out and Palin picked it up, She's the new rock star...now that's funny. The small ralleys are not working right now.

    September 10, 2008 at 11:24 pm |
  44. Dave

Maybe she is being preped to walk off a plain with out McCain. Or she could have had some minor changes made to her speech, and she is circling the air strip while they read it to her.

Anderson, thanks, sick and tired of the hype with no substance. Keep pushing to get Palin to talk to the people she wants to one day represent. The American people need the truth although we are sometimes too American Idol absorbed to listen. Keep them honest.

Anderson, It's 8:12 PST and I just turned on your show – I see that Saint Sarah is soon to arrive in Alaska. Why the wall to wall coverage – is this an attempt to show her the deference she feels deserving of? For heavens sake! Please report on something newsworthy.

This 'waiting for Sarah Palin's plane' to get back to Alaska is definitely not going to be one of the intellectual highlight's of 360 this week...
