Wolf Blitzer played the keyboard? In a band?

David M. Reisner
AC360° Digital Producer

We learned a lot in the past two weeks about both Democrats and Republicans; their nominees and their conventions...

But the biggest news to come out of the election coverage these past two weeks?… Wolf Blitzer loves his music.  Who knew? Seems Wolf liked to jam out on the keyboard back in the day, in a band…

In retrospect, it could have been "The Wolf's" instead of "The Monkey's" – but then we would'nt have "The Best Political Team on Television".

Personally I think it was great that Anderson got Wolf to relax, showing us a whole new side of him.

"Who knew", indeed. I would have never guessed this about Wolf, but shoot, he is human too! I think is it awesome and hope to hear him demonstrate his talnets sometime in the near future.

Farankly Wolf would make an great addition to the 360 crew's antics. I feel certain that should you guys invite him, he would glady take you up on it.

Thanks for bringing us a whole new view of one of our CNN fav's. Another of Anderson's many telents.....great interivew!

    Rock On!

Or,does anyone have any photos of this?

I have to agree - this was the most interesting news I got out of the convention. It was kind of like watching Monday NIght Football having the anchors together on one stage. I swear I missed Anderson announcing the part where everyone in the audience was supposed to drink everytime they talked about Wolf and music... I think I also noticed at least one instance where John King and Anderson were playing "air keyboards" as the show when to commercial breaks.

Thanks for making the conventions so entertaining!

You and Wolf could not have been more fluffy left during the convention reporting. Why can't you news guys just report without your opinions interjected. I love listening to the bleeding heart left cry. The day after Palin's VP anouncement, Obamas contributions went up big time.....you know why.....The Left is worried !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanx, Ted

You guys were so funny teasing Wolf. The back-and-forth ribbing between him and Anderson was precious. It was nice to see a lighter side of Wolf. Any chance we can see him playing the keyboards on 360?

    Have a great weekend!

So the biggest news to come out of the election coverage in the last two weeks is Wolf Blitzer plays the keyboard? Tell me again who cares? How does this matter to the American people? No offense to Wolf and his music but there are more important things in this country that need reporting. For instance John McCain's acceptance speech which failed to receive a single mention here on the blog. Why? I think I know the reason and wonder who exactly is keeping you all honest; or at least focused on your actual job and issues at hand.

I'd just like to make an observation of you two (wolf & anderson)
It seemed as though you guys had more fun at the Demoratic celebration?
Oh, another thing what kind of person would vote for a party that totally mis-used power, sent troops to die for a country that hates us and maintained a bad economy?

Why not form the CNN Newstime Band. Your viewers can be treated nightly with a live performance at the end of Wolf or Anderson's newscast. Mr. Cafferty can be the lead singer.

Good evening David. Yes, a great revelation came out of the RNC; Wolf Blitzer, the best keyboardist on the best political team. I know this is asking too much, but please try and get him to play for us sometime. I just went through some old albums from the 60's. I feel very nostalgic and wish I had a record player right now. My mom also had saved the 8-trak tapes. Thanks to the "team" for great coverage of both conventions.

Wolf is very talented. If you read the right blog you would learn that Wolf has a band that plays in town . I would love to see that on the blog.

I really admire Wolf and I now have something in common with him. I play the keyboard too even though I'm not good enough to play for a band.
Anderson, is there a way you can make him play a tune for Christmas or something? That would be fun and it would definitely make the YouTube classics.
