such a beautiful, funny and caring woman kathy is. =)

  15. MaryBeth

Mike, Vietnam: the point is not that they are good, but that they are underage by IOC rules. That's cheating. And I don't care what Amanda Borden says, I think the ages would have made a difference anyway. To say we are mad cuz we were beat is ludicrous. Anyone would be mad if the lost to cheaters.

I love kathy! She's not afraid to be honest! I love her show and I know she loves Andy.

Jeepers, if those little Chinese gymnasts are all 16 years old, I'm 29....again ( wink-wink).

  20. Janna

OK, I'm going to have to pass on "the shot" this evening....python nightmares tonight, no thank you

  21. Lesa, TN

I really believe China lied and cheated with the gymnastic competition. If they lied about the young singer (lip syncing) at the opening, by saying she wasn't cute enough for TV, they will lie about the ages of the competitors.

Kathy G. makes my brain itch.

Kathy Griffin AND that guy with the snake in his pants? 360's really living on the edge tonight!

    August 13, 2008 at 10:45 pm |
  25. Genevieve M, TX

I would not be surprised if those female gymnasts from China are underage. Half of those girls look like they are attending elementary school!

I really believe the Chinese government forged their passports– typical communist government at work. *snort*

And we 'trust' Rev. Wright to tell the truth about NOT writing a book? Please! I just wish he would go away & stay away.

The webcast is cool, & Erica, you are doing a great job! May Anderson can join this sometime–I know he's really busy!

    August 13, 2008 at 10:44 pm |
  27. MaryBeth

Those girls (the youngest looking) look like they are 12!!! At the oldest!!!

    August 13, 2008 at 10:44 pm |
  28. CaseyJ - Palm Springs, CA

Is Kathy Griffin going to skewer Anderson?

    August 13, 2008 at 10:44 pm |
  29. Rose from Southern Calif

Books are suppost to be the truth, right?

  30. Lorie Ann, Buellton, California

I must admit the Chinese Olympic team looks like 5th graders, but it would seem that they should have had birth records to show to the people in charge.

    August 13, 2008 at 10:44 pm |
  31. Mary

The children on the Chinese team are too youg or that they are underfed

    August 13, 2008 at 10:44 pm |
  32. Heather

Love the makeup.Of course that doesn't make them look older. He's right! We are not stupid!

    August 13, 2008 at 10:43 pm |
  33. Cindy

OK...small people always look younger. When I was that age I was not even 100 lbs. So you can't go by what someone looks like for their age.

    Cindy...Ga.

  34. Sonya in Georgia

People need to understand that a 16 year old Chinese girl is not going to look like a 16 year old American girl. I'm of Asian decent and I do not look my age. The other day, I was mistaken for being a jr high schooler and I'm actually 30 years old!

    August 13, 2008 at 10:43 pm |
  35. Heather - Spokane, WA

I have a friend who is Asian and she looks young, but those girls look very young.

    August 13, 2008 at 10:43 pm |
  36. Megan Dresslar

Chinese girls are broke rules their ages........ I am shocked!!!!! I don't believe my eyes!!!!! they are fake ages!!!!

    August 13, 2008 at 10:43 pm |
  37. jackie Chino Hills, CA

this is sad....yeah, they could be cause everyone looks and is different, but this is just not looking good for china.....first the lipsynching, now this...

    August 13, 2008 at 10:43 pm |
  38. Crystal, Clearwater, FL

So much speculation going on with China. It's a shame that the Olympics are overshadowed by all these stories.

    August 13, 2008 at 10:42 pm |
  39. Karin - Canada

It's difficult to believe that a couple of the Chinese female gymnasts are 16 but just as difficult to prove that they are not.

    August 13, 2008 at 10:42 pm |
  40. James Dylan

All the Chinese gymnasts look like they're about 12.

    August 13, 2008 at 10:42 pm |
  41. Maureen T

Those gymnasts don't look 16 years of age.

    August 13, 2008 at 10:41 pm |
  42. EJ (USA)

I thought that female gymnasts sometimes look so young because they train so hard and thus don't get their periods or enter puberty until later on.

    August 13, 2008 at 10:41 pm |
  43. Mike, Vietnam

Reporters cant even do their jobs at the olympics! Thats ridiculous. The story of underage girls performing is surprising. They are good for age!

    August 13, 2008 at 10:41 pm |
  44. Gwen from NJ

Why is the media focusing so much attention on this book? Are Americans really so gullible. Let's get back to the real issues (war, economy, heelth). Give me a break.

    August 13, 2008 at 10:41 pm |
  45. Hannah Storm

those chinese girls look like they are 12 years old.....I soooo don't believe they are 16

    August 13, 2008 at 10:40 pm |
  46. Carly,AL

i have to say thoughs chinese gymnastics girls do look really young....i was watching the coverage and even the commontators were saying the exact sme thing they look too young...but some of us don't look our age anyway so....who really knows

    August 13, 2008 at 10:40 pm |
  47. CaseyJ - Palm Springs, CA

To think that China has gone through some kind of phenomenal tranformation to become a "democratic" society, is ludicrous. It's just a marriage of modern-day communism fueled by capitalism–of course they'll cheat.

    August 13, 2008 at 10:40 pm |
  48. Jane, WV

yes!! i love kathy griffin and anderson together! i can completely agree with her sentiments about our favorite news anchor....

    August 13, 2008 at 10:40 pm |
  49. Heather

I have watched all those Chinese girls and you would have to be blind to think they are 16.Maybe ten or eleven or at the most twelve. There is one girl who is the tallest and looks way older. They say she is 20.Who knows.I think they are cheating. But of course its rude to say so.
