Ridiculous that the police shot those dogs. I would file charges!
That is just too trigger happy.
They shot the four legged family members and that is alright?

They Anthony story: How come no one talks about where Casey was for the 5 weeks she was missing or in Tampa? Where did she stay in Tampa, what did she do? Why has this not been reported?

I just can not believe that the police shot and killed the mayors dogs for nothing. That was stupid!

All I can say is Casey knows a lot more than what she is telling. And she doesn't seem to be very worried at this point. She said she is trying to protect her daugther, I don't buy her story.

Cindy, she has a fifth amendment right - and I think they have bigger plans in the way of charging her

This former babysitter, Holly, certainly sounds like she's the spokesperson for the family. I believe she's had her 15 minutes...

Wouldn't the police have known it was the mayor's house? It would make sense that the law enforcement in that town would be privy to the fact of who owned the home before they stormed it.

No matter what excuses people give about why Casey is not coming forward with information about her daughter's disappearance I still keep thinking about those party pictures. There is just no acceptable excuse for this woman partying while her daughter is missing.

"Vinegar, Spice, and Cinnamon?" Please stop this interview. This is bordering on ridiculous. Do I even believe this woman Anderson is interviewing?

Mike- you got that right. She seems to be looking for her 15 minutes

Casey could have given her daughter up for adoption if she did not want to parent her. There are many people who would love to adopt a little girl to love and care for.

I shudder to think that Casey might have harmed her child.

This babysitter sure is after her 15 minutes of fame.

No kidding. She probably wants a book deal.

Good call on the Susan Smith, however, wasn't Susan emotional about her children being dead? I can't remember the details fo the story

If Casey knows where the baby is but won't say until she is out then why isn't she charged with obstruction of justice?

This girl on t.v. is hiding something too. She is being too evasive. What did she say she was raising money for?

    August 7, 2008 at 10:48 pm |

im sorry i beleive the child is dead, and her mother know's that. she wanted to talk to the boyfriend ratter than her mother.

judy, That's what I have been saying, Casey looks like another Susan Smith to me.

Why can't Casey say where her daughter is? Is there a father involved in some way??

    August 7, 2008 at 10:46 pm |

    re Caseys daughters father;
a Attorny for the family of the man named as the father say they've never ment the family, nor were they aware that their son had a daughter by Casey.

It never ceases to amaze me how evil people can be towards each other. Mother with missing child seems unconcerned....nut case says he wants to kill Obama – all in the same week.

    Let's bring on the weekend!

Why did they feel they had to kill the dogs??? I heard they just left the dogs on the floor to bleed to death.

I have black labs and they are really friendly dogs.

I think everyone realizes that something is not right about the whole family. So far, they are a classic case of disfunctionality.

    August 7, 2008 at 10:44 pm |

I find it so difficult to believe that this woman has got all of the authorities running around in circles. If Casey didn't kill her daughter she sold her to someone.

i dont think we should jump to conclustions until all and everything is out .its easy to think in the negative exspecialy with all the evidence that we hear but it would be a change in us as people to think are way of thinking when we hear things others have done

I can already see it. This woman is going to get a movie on Lifetime made about her... They sometimes do movies about women like that.

Caylee's mother, Casey, looks guiltier with each lie she tells. I really think she knows where her daughter is.

Anderson, imagine watching this story unfold during every scheduled broadcast – I am sure there are other news that should take center stage but they have given this bizarre story the main stage. It is hard to try to estímate the amount of tax-dollars that have been spent on this bizarre and unfortunate event. Who in their right mind would lie this much? This girl is either dellusional or a pathological lier. It's sad...sad indeed...and yet, days go by, the girl is still missing and it seems there is no end in sight.

I mean, if the girl was high when she dropped off the kid and doesn't even remember where...one would think that whoever has her would have called the authorities once they have seen the media frenzy about her. Needless to say, another day wasted and no end in sight. 🙁

@Karen-Leesburg, VA..."Of course, when living baby-dolls become demanding toddlers they are just a responsibility to ditch, any way you can. Cadaver dogs don’t react to old pizza!"

WOW! That's chilling, really chilling. I fear you may be right, Karen.

I understand everyone grieves differently, but a sane person would answer the questions of the police and not cost the citizens a fortune by lying all the time. If my kids were missing for a moment I would be searching for them until I found them.

This poor little girl- if she is in fact alive, think of what it'll be like for her when she gets older. Her father is no longer living and no matter what the outcome with her mom, this is still something she has to deal with for the rest of her life. It's so unfair to her- she had no choice but to be forced into the public's eye.

So, if the grandmother had never called the police, her granddauhgter would just be a distant memory, and we wouldn't know squat. I'm surprised Casey didn't take off, presuming that there is something wrong going on here.

Anderson and Randi, isn't it interesting that no matter how long you look or how much you see, there will still be a 'new' story that baffles the mind and engages such emotion? Imagine how the police feel.

    August 7, 2008 at 10:39 pm |
  38. judy

The police will be interested in her cell tower records - to find out if she went to any remote areas where she may have disposed of the body.

For those of you wondering why the police aren't releasing the DNA results it most likely because they are needing other sources of DNA to compare the stain's DNA to. As a lab technologist who tests DNA for a living I know that we can't positively say a stain belonged to a person if we don't have their DNA to compare it to.

Casey seems about as dumb as a box of rocks. She has to have made mistakes that will give the police a break.

  41. Karen--Leesburg, VA

I'm sorry, but Casey Anthony is just another Scott Peterson–only in a mini-skirt. She is a narcissist of the first order who is playing her whole family. Caylee meant no more to that woman than a pretty doll she could use to get attention for herself. Of course, when living baby-dolls become demanding toddlers they are just a responsibility to ditch, any way you can. Cadaver dogs don't react to old pizza!

I can't believe that little Caylee is still missing! Somebody (her mother!) must know where she is! I want to believe Casey knows where her daughter is!!

    August 7, 2008 at 10:37 pm |
  45. janet

Why does the mother keep saying that she knows where Caylee is, and if they just release her she can go get Caylee. She keeps stating that they can't trust the police with the information, and that Caylee would be harmed if she tells them.

    August 7, 2008 at 10:36 pm |
  46. Janna

All of you who are saying Casey is horrible for being calm and is guilty because of all the lies, I hope you never end up on an important jury. An open mind is a fair one.
Is she calm because she knows her daughter is safe and with someone she trusts?
Is she lying to cover up something unrelated? something she (with or w/o Caylee accidentally stumbled upon)?

    August 7, 2008 at 10:35 pm |
  47. EJ (USA)

OK…why are they still searching the grandmothers house when Casey and Caylee weren’t there for a month or more? Wouldn’t all the evidence be gone or contaminated?

I'm sure they still have to search.

    August 7, 2008 at 10:35 pm |
  48. seah ohio

A mother who does not report a child missing for a month, something is seriously wrong.

The father of the child is dead by the family's saying. who is he? does he have family? Do they live close?

The Child's Grandparents are they being honest.

I am hoping the child is still alive, and keep her in my prayers. The longer it goes, The less likely of that. If the child is found alive, she would need a more stable environment.

    August 7, 2008 at 10:34 pm |
  49. Jo Ann, North Royalton, Ohio

Randi, I heard Casey's brother say that they are not releasing the name of Caylee's father because they want to protect his family, but I find it difficult to believe that his family would not be concerned about what has happened and would voluntarily come forward.

investigators are still testing the DNA found in the car... as soon as they release the results we'll sahre it on AC360 i'm sure. Regarding the lake/pond search.. authorities are still saying it's a training exercise and not related to Caylee's case... we'll see...
