After mocking Obama, McCain says inflate your tires

The McCain and Obama camps have sparred in recent days over Sen. Obama's suggestion that vehicles could get better gas mileage with properly inflated tires.

John McCain appeared to make a serious U-turn Tuesday on the practice of keeping one’s tires inflated to save fuel.

McCain and his campaign have ruthlessly mocked Obama for telling cash-pinched gas consumers in Springfield, Missouri last week to keep their tires inflated to conserve gas.

The presumptive GOP nominee got a big laugh at a massive biker rally on Monday when he mockingly told the crowd, “My opponent doesn’t want to drill, he doesn’t want nuclear power, he wants you to inflate your tires.”

But on a conference call with Philadelphia voters Tuesday night, McCain offered support for the fuel-saving tip.

“And could I mention that Sen. Obama a couple of days ago said that we ought to all inflate our tires, and I don’t disagree with that,” he said on the call. “The American Automobile Association strongly recommends it. But I also don't think that that's a way to become energy independent."

the question is why mock a practical answer ,to a complex question? how many young people actually check their tires to get good gas mileage?
mccain is ignorant, obama has common sense something mccain lacks.
what we have is a case of, evil being called good, and good being called evil.
i really don't .. can't comprehend.. the ignorance among many people clearly obama is the better candidate. he has proven that to the entire world; yet we have people who will not vote for him because he is black.
i welcome the day when Jesus returns, having to deal with racism on this large scale is overwhelming, so many people, believe hatred is the answer, and yet it has been proven it is not.
owe no man nothing but to love him . my love and prayers are with all you people.

Obama goes the way the wind blows. He is afraid to debate McCain. If Obama gets elected the deficit will sky rocket and we will be in a depression. Another stimulus package is not the answer and tapping the oil reserve is wrong. If Iran stops the flow of oil we will need the reserves. Drilling and doing everthing to get energy efficient will create millions of jobs and bring the prices down. If the market thinks we are serious about drilling and fuel effiicient cars, the price of oil will drop. We need to balance the BUDGET. I don't trust Obama. The country is in too much trouble to elect inexperienced Hollywood Obama.

Old John Mc Bush can`t help himself. On tuesday, in South Dakota, he said to the crowd of bikers, that Cindy McBush with any luck she be the first lady of America, and the Buffallo Chip Queen of Sturgis. The old guy did`nt realize the contest required that Cindy had to be toppless on stage., Or, maybe he did... I guess old Mc Bush will do anything to be the next president.

Mccain is bad for America. Beware of the man who claims he knows how to win wars and know how to capture Osama Bib Laden!!! Why is he not sharing this knowledge with the military????? Mccain would rather let more American soldiers die and more billions wasted until he gets elected. And this is the man who says he puts country before political campaign. Don't you see how dishonest Mccain is????
