good night all
That story about the guy tasered by police reminds me that there are often people who for one reason or another, diabetes for example, do not seem cooperative with police making an arrest.
Good night Anderson and Erica and bloggers...great show as always...everyone in the track of Dolly ..stay safe
Great blog tonight everybody. See you tomorrow night. Night Anderson & Erica.
OMG!! Those poor fish! What if one of those women accidently squashes one! AHH!!
Great show tonight. Good night.
Those fish are gross. How do you sterilize those?
goodnight everyone
I love the fish story. Great caption, Erica. Anderson, you gotta catch up.
Night all.
Way to go Erica!!...Good show Andy...Good night all!
poor fish
Let's hope Dolly doesn't cause a lot of damage. One thing in life is certain, we'll have hurricanes and we must be there for our neighbors to pick up the pieces. Good Tuesday evening.
That fish pedicure is nasty!!
Night Anderson and Erica!
Cindy..Ga.
Taser use is under investigation here in British Columbia, Canada after two death by taser guns. It's a weapon that should only be used in extreme circumstances.
it's been a really packed show tonight, i'll pray for south texas that dolly is kind
Mike, Syracuse-I didn't know that about cops & tasers. Is this the rule everywhere or what? Very interesting. Thank you.
Tonight, your breaking news story about Senator McCain's error was wonderful. I have watched for many days as the "common wisdom" or myth, about the role of the Surge in Iraq has been repeated over and over. Digging up the truth is good reporting. Thank you for trying to spread truth!!
Wow, 100 miles long, that big. As yall showed they need it but hope it not all at once, may not cause so much flooding. Hope the leeve can keep up with it.
The story about Nancy Cooper is very sad, and the husband seems to be a little strange.
I hope the investigation into Pike's death is a thorough one, the circumstances sound pretty suspicious–some people may be tired of blacks concern with racism and police brutality, but there have been too many cases where those concerns are completely justified.
Why didn't the officer just call for back-up, if the detainee was not complying. To electrocute someone 7 times is overly excessive, he out right murdered the man. Im originally from Texas, and i know Louisiana and it's history in its many small towns, one can only wander what really occured thru the whole ordeal.
so sad with Nancy...my heart goes out to her grieving family
Why in the world would you taser a guy 6 times and expect him to get out of the car, thats ridiculous .The police officer should be arrested not just fired! Its a shame that a police officer went to that extreme and we still find ourselves asking if it was race related. How far does an act have to go before it becomes obvious.
Jamaal
Naissa, I thought the visual was pretty remarkable but I SO agree with you. I only feel sympathy for the children who may have been hurt. They had no choice on attending the violent event
Joe- I think overuse of a taser, most likely, would always make the news. Tasering is wrong.
I watch "Cops" and the ppl who get tasered need a minute to regroup and collect themselves. How many volts are in one taser shot, does anyone know?
I can't imagine that race did not play a part in the death of the young man in the tasing case. The police failed to act quickly by investigating and being open and honest with the public. Police are supposed to protect and serve, not victimize.
interesting that the victim was a relative to one of the Jenn 6
Here we go again North Carolina somebody's missing? What is going on there?
the guy that tazed the man 7 times might not be a racist. he could just be a bad person. I hope the entire department does not get blamed as being racist. I have seen many white people tazed by white cops. Was that college kid that was tazed a victim of racism? The results are terrible. I hope this guy get what he deserves.
i agree joe, although i, as well as many of you all, are not big on racism and frown upon it, i just feel that certain "crimes against race" are taken out of line and too literally.
I love this newscast! McCain really made himself look bad tonight. Just another reason to vote for obama'
Yes, Anna, I thought about the FLDS children too. I guess we have to assume they are ok?!? It's just a very sad story all around.
Taser gun is beneficial for would be criminals when used properly, but six times, come on now.
Anna, you know how slowly the justice system moves...I'm confident that AC will give us every possible update on the FLDS children
In certain cases tasering is the lesser of the evils. Taser or shoot?
Anna that is an interesting question...Anderson what is going on with the FLDS children???
The taser story does sound racial. I just got done going through college for criminal justice and they taught us to only use a taser when you are in danger. The officer didnt sound like he was in any danger at all.
WOW 7 times in handcuffs. That is scary stuff. Great show tonight Anderson and Erica. See you all after sunset tomorrow. I hope tomorrow is a "GAFF FREE DAY" for McCain. He needs a break too.
My daughter is a cop. To carry a taser she would have to agree to be tasered to see how it affects someone. She, and most of her fellow officers won't do that, so don't carry tasers.
Here we go again- race crime. If the tables were turned and the cop was black and the suspect white it wouldnt make the news and of course it wouldnt be considered a race crime.
That he died after 9 taser shots, including one right to his chest...is amazing...obv iously a gross overuse of the taser. Those things are supposed to incapacitate you, no wonder he couldn't "move fast enough."
I think tasering is wrong, wrong, wrong. I understand subduing a violent person, but tasering seems to get out of control in the wrong hands.
The officer's followed procedure....? Yikes....
There is no justification tasering an individual in handcuffs
Wait, how could tasering someone 9 times be considered "procedure?"
I don't think this has nothing to do with race. Maybe he didn't use the taser right.
I question the "racial injustice." Injustice, yes, but where does the "race" part of it come in? This kind of assumption only creates more racial divide.
Is this a revenge?
The young man had his hands handcuffed behind his back. Tasered 9 times, talk about injustice.
