I hate it when the kiddos are hardly even brought up... they have to live with this even when the press and public forget about it.

I always wonder why people who continue to act as if they are still a "bachelor/bachelorette" after they get married even bother getting married? Would'nt it be easier for those people to just stay unmarried? My parents taught me that marriage is teamwork and that there is no "I" in team.

You can tell that Madonna embraces Kabbalah as her religion, whereas Hollywood embraces it as a fad.

Less judgemental – we all need a little bit of that.

This scandal will hurt A-Rod? All this publicity can't possibly hurt him.

Good point Anderson that brings home the story. "Home free" yes that sounds good. Hi Anderson, David Gergen, Randi Kaye, fellow bloggers, by the way.

All this mess with A. Rod and Brinkley is ridiculous. My 1st wedding anniversary was yesterday. I hate when I see marriage being abused and taken for granted.

It's like the show read my mind. I was just thinking "what is Kabbalah?"

Hmmm I guess Madonna's new album isn't selling that well. She needs some scandal to spark some interest.

I hope the hostages write a book or tell their stories. The world needs to hear their experiences and what terrorists FARC are.

I have to ask how a person can be kidnapped and kept alive for ten or six years. What was the purpose for this lenght of time and what was the goal or aim for the rebels. Anderson, you are so right that people are being forgotten. I feel for the prisoners that are still in captive.

I can't fathom any of this

That helicopter that picked up the hostages was a humanitarian effort. They rescued fifteen people from hell. It is sad because the documentary this weekend said that kidnappings are a regular event that happened everyday and it happens so much that they have set up a radio station that families can send messages to their loved ones who were kidnapped by the FARC. At least five people are kidnapped a day by them.

I heard that theres over 100 more hostages being held by the farc or such organisations in colombia, wow this rescue is like a drop in a tea cup

  34. Mechelle-- Oklahoma

have we heard anything about the other hostages?

    July 7, 2008 at 10:31 pm |
  35. Ann E

This video from Colombia is insane!!!!!!! I can't even imagine what they went through and then the pure joy on their faces when they found out they were free... it's amazing.

    July 7, 2008 at 10:31 pm |
  36. Kimether - Atlanta, GA

I am astonished by the hostage video. i watched it earlier and even teared up. I am so happy they have been rescued but something must be done. We are in Iraq, but what makes the situation there any worse than what's going on in Colombia, Darfur, Zimbabwe, or Sudan? People are being kidnapped, killed and robbed of their freedom.

Obama is naturally from the left and needs to artificially move to the middle to win in Nov. McCain is naturally in the middle and had to move to the left to get nominated. Now he can return to his natural state.

McCain= Old, tired and worn out

Obama= Charasmatic, experienced and an agent of change

    Hi David.
Why is Obama Grand Standing / Show Boating in Denver?. He will say or do anything just to win. Hold on folks we will all be wearing a straw hat at Christmas.

I think people need to just accept that a big change is coming an instead of being afraid of it, just embrace it. The world had to change at some point in order for us to get this far.

Look at the successful and well organized campaign that Obama is running and then look at McCain's operation. I think it is easy to see which candidate has the organizational skills necessary to execute strategy.
