Former President Bill Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama FINALLY talked by phone Monday morning, as the Democrats sought to quash rumors that Clinton holds a grudge against the man who knocked his wife out of contention for the party's presidential nomination. Obama called Clinton and they spoke for about 20 minutes Monday morning... According to the Clinton Camp, Clinton wants to campaign "with and for" Obama and Clinton "renewed his offer to do whatever he can to ensure Sen. Obama is our next president." The call was described as "terrific"... terrific? Interesting choice of words....
Yesterday, Obama was defending his "patriotism" –yes folks, in INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - Dogged by persistent rumors questioning his belief in country, Sen. Barack Obama journeyed to Middle America on Monday to lay out his vision of patriotism, conceding that he has learned in this presidential campaign that "the question of who is - or is not - a patriot all too often poisons our political debate." TODAY he defends his "Christianity" - a.k.a "I am NOT a Muslim."
