Mandela to supermodel: Get to steppin’

Finally, somebody has the decency to tell one of these crazy celebrities that their wild antics will not be tolerated.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell was supposed to participate in the 90th birthday celebration of former South African president Nelson Mandela. But after she was fined and sentenced to 200 hours of community service for her bad girl behavior against two cops at Heathrow Airport, Mandela ordered her removed from the celebrity lineup.

Now that’s a man of principle!

A source told the Daily Mail that Mandela personally intervened.

The man himself intervened and she was pulled off the list. He was disappointed with her recent arrest – particularly as she was wearing a 46664 baseball cap at the time,' the source said, noting that was which was the prison number of Mandela when he served 27 years in jail.

Mandela gets big props for checking Naomi and making it plain: You can't act a fool and expect to be rewarded.

naomi needs anger management before she really hurts someone. Mr.Mandela has principals – a man who spent 27 years in jail unfairly certainly knows something about honor and integrity. more people need to take a stand for what is the right.

@ Pat LOL thank you so much for the laugh! Looking pretty is not a talent. Thanks to her genes and the stylists, makeup artists, etc. are the only things that make her look good on the outside but inside she is very ugly.

Wow i just followed a link on Naomi Campbell. I had no idea she has been out of control for nearly ten years! (If what was reported is truly factual.) For one to assault friends, housekeepers, Studio Personnel,
employees at a show she attended and complete strangers is heavy duty out of control temper tantrums to say the least. I truly hope she seeks professional help. It would truly be a shame for a lady with her talents and gifts to loose it all.

Good for Mandela. He should take on some of the other personalities that misbehave on a regular fashion. Its good to see that someone is more interested in right and wrong than rubbing elbows with the rich and infamous.

@ Larry Mr. Mandela did not bash Naomi, he just disinvited her to his birthday celebration for her poor behavior. He's probably the first person who's ever tried to teach her a life lesson that her behavior is unacceptable and won't be tolerated thus this is a consequence. As for Mugabe, what do you propose Mr. Mandela do?

Someone should have "slapped" that child Naomi and others like her a long time ago. Mr. Mandela is one of the brightest lights the world has ever seen. We would all be wiser to learn decency, common sense, compassion and love from him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. Mandela. I hope your 90th Celebration will be as Special as you are and may you enjoy many more!

You are certainly one of the Greatest Men of our time if not the Greatest. And it is certainly refreshing to see a Celebrity acting out get kicked to the curb! Thank you Mr. Mandela. I hope this sets an example for all Celebrities but I know that would be too much to hope for.

I truly feel Miss Campbell has problems that need professional attention. I hope she will see that and seek help.

Too bad Mbeki and the rest of the African 'princes' can't take a credible stance [diplomatic/ military] against Mugabe!!!

Nelson Mandela is a man of honor and integrity. This world would be a much better place if the youth of this world emulated Nelson Mandela instead of worshipping the celebrity culture represented by people like Naomi Campbell.

Well it's about time these celebrities are not glorified when they get into trouble. All the power to Mr. Mandela for putting his foot down.

    Happy 90th Birthday!

I pray every day that the likes of Nelson Mandela remains with us as long as possible. People like President Mandela radiate a constitution, backbone, tolerance and iron will that is entirely lost on today's leaders, executives, politicians and public figures. It should come as no surprise that it takes a 90 year old to show us what a real man looks like.

Oh man...I LOVE that one of these elite trouble makers finally got their dues!! I am glad that Mandela kicked Naomi to the curb! Too many of these celebs think that they can do anything that they want yet still be idolized by millions! I hope that this really shows Naomi that regardless of what she thinks that she isn't all that! And that not everybody will put up with her crap.
