Morning Buzz: NO more rain, but do NEED cash...

[cnn-photo-caption image=http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/06/25/art.prescriptionpills.jpg]
Morning folks...

Rain...rain...go away!!! The Midwest is expected to get more rain, today...anywhere between 2 to 6 inches...and most rivers in the flood-stricken area are on the verge of cresting....So do NOT even take your boat out today, because even a 2 inch wake could cause major problems.... Gary Tuchman stays in the flood zone to monitor....

SEND CASH....NEED Millions, small bills are accepted, too!!! Sen. Barack Obama has asked top contributors to help his former rival, Sen. Hillary Clinton, retire her debt. Clinton amassed a campaign debt of about $22 million, but about $12 million of that is money the New York senator loaned to the campaign herself....AND with just over four months to go until voters weigh in at the polls, a new survey suggests Sen. Barack Obama is holding a double-digit lead over Sen. John McCain among registered voters. According to a new Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll, Obama holds a 12 point lead over McCain in a head-to-head match up, 49 percent to 37 percent. We will check in with Candy Crowley and Dana Bash on all campaign trail happenings today...

Randi Kaye is en route to Fayetteville, North Carolina...authorities are investigating the death of a pregnant soldier whose body was found Saturday morning in a motel. Spc. Megan Lynn Touma, 23, was a dental specialist from Cold Springs, Kentucky, according to a statement from Fort Bragg, where Touma was assigned to the 19th Replacement Company. Fayetteville police found her body late Saturday morning when they responded to a call about a strong odor coming from one of the rooms. The body was sent to the state Medical Examiner's office in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, to determine the cause of death. Touma, who was seven months pregnant, arrived at Fort Bragg on June 12. In five years with the Army, she had served with the U.S. Army Dental Activity Clinic in Bamberg, Germany, and in Fort Drum, New York, before her assignment to Fort Bragg. Touma is the SECOND pregnant service member to die in North Carolina in recent months. The remains of Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach and her fetus were found beneath in a fire pit January 11 in Marine Cpl. Cesar Laurean's backyard. Randi will be LIVE with the latest....

AND a Keeping Them Honest update tonight.... Drew Griffin thought after chasing down doctors, confronting a rogue pharmacy, and basically exposing just how blatantly easy it is to go on line, purchase prescription drugs and get them delivered to our door no questions asked...WELL, we thought might hear a reaction from the government on what's being done to stop it.. And we did...just not the one we thought. Joe Rannazzsi from the DEA said "There is a not a loop hole, there is not a loophole." But as you will see in tonight's report....There APPEARS, in fact, to be a loophole, so big that the bureaucratic agencies in Washington are finger pointing over who's in charge to stop it. The White house sent Drew to the DEA, the DEA to the FDA. All the while the government seems to be M-I-A on Internet drug abuse...this is MUST SEE TV folks....

ALSO, President Bush is scheduled to meet in the Oval Office with Iraq President Jalal Talabani this morning, so we will check in with Michael Ware for analysis...

Good to know that Michael Ware will be there to represent that other place called the “Rest of the World.” Not that much of interest is happening here!

At least CBS had a broader view of what was news worthy last night. Am I mistaken in now thinking that AC360 refers to 360 USA news or is it the show’s intent to cover any important news? Perhaps you should qualify in the title by calling the show AC360 USA?

Here was Hillary boasting and bragging about how 18 million people, more than any other candidate in history, had voted for her and by virtue of this alone she should be the nominee. If they all send her 56 cents each, she'll have her 10 million dollars.

I have to agree with Kim in NY that money should not be donated to payoff Hillary Clinton's campaign debt. There are natural disasters occurring in our country and even more happening around the world that donaters could help to offset the cost of recovery for but they are worried about Hillary being in debt. We are all in debt and if you are going to spend that much money you should have a plan to repay it before you start begging for money especially if you think you are qualified to be the president of our great country.

God help them living through the floods.

It won't be easy to bounce back from it.

Take heed to wanting to rebuild in the same place, if it is a common flood place. below sea level with levees around. it might do the same thing again some day.

Hey Yall, Guess we all need to start doing the anit-rain dance for everyone out in the Midwest. I hope the rain will give these folks a break.

I think its makes no sense that the democratic nominee instead of raising money for himself is trying to bail Clinton out of her debt. Obama has just forgone public financing; any body who wants to contribute should put their monies toward him. Why can’t Clinton just relieve her own debt? Her and Bill have more than enough money.

This is heart wrenching news about the pregnant solider. Makes no sense. And is that a coincidence or what that this has happened recently to another pregnant soldier. I am interested to hear more about this from Randi.

I am not surprised Drew was given the runaround. That is what we have come to expect from Washington.

    Have a great day 🙂

Morning Anderson, I watched part of your show last night, Don Imus tried to defend the comment that he made by saying he meant to say something totally different, what a crock! Why didn't he just say what he really meant! I can't believe anyone would hire this man after all the controversial comments he has made in the past. Have a great day Anderson.

Will be great to see Michael Ware tonight for his analysis. Michael doesn't sugar coat his reports – straight to the facts and how things are interrelated. He really knows his stuff.

What is it with the pregnant soldiers at Fort Bragg getting killed? This is the second one in less than a year. What is going on over there that these women cannot be kept safe?

I hope the levees hold today and that the people in this area get some good luck finally.

Good to see Michael Ware will be on tonight's program.
I do have a question : just how did HRC acquire so much
debt ? Where did all of the money go ? Also let's hope things
are not too bad for Midwest residents. They could use some
    relief from the floods.

The people in the Midwest just can't catch a break...More rain today!! It seems like this has been going on forever and will never stop! I hope for these peoples sakes that it does soon.

Seems like to me that Obama is only helping Hillary pay off her huge debt so that she will back him and her voters will back him. We'll have to see how that pans out. My thought is that it won't change what most people think or feel about him.

I have heard about that pregnant soldier being found dead in the motel in NC. That is sad. I wonder how she died? Can't wait to see Randi's report on that!!

And I am SO glad that we get to see Mic Ware tonight on the show!! I love when you guys have him on!!

I think Hillary should get a second or third job to pay off her debt, just like every other American. Maybe Bill could help out by getting a job, a second or third, too. Chelsea could always chip in. There are many adult children supporting their aging parents. Shame on anyone who contributes to this. There are people going hungry, people getting their electricity turned off and rescue squads not responding because they have run out of money to put fuel in their vehicles. There are more important issues in this country than Hillary Clinton's Debt. Oh yeah. let's not forget those people who have lost everything in the recent floods. Put your money, if you can, where its needed. (What is the interest rate on a campaign debt anyway?)
