On My Second Cup Of Coffee, Still Can't Face The Day

I’m in withdrawal. I leapt out of bed twice last night thinking I was about to miss the plane. I woke up this morning and didn’t recognize my bedroom. My re-inherited cat seems really really annoyed I’m in his house and when I tried to get into my office computer the following message appeared:
Would you like to set your home page to "Cannot Find Server”?
Something about that appeals to me. I’m thinking of saying yes.
So, here we are. It’s over. (or starting, but today I prefer to think of it as over) He’s campaigning in North Carolina/Missouri. McCain is fundraising. She is vacationing. Her voters are either angry, resigned, defiant or in denial. Multi-stages of grief. They will not feel the same in November. Some still won’t vote for him but they won’t feel the same.
The funny thing is that most Clinton voters I talk to don’t seem that angry with Obama. They’re upset she lost and they don’t think she got a fair shake in the media. Neither are they crazy about the Democratic Party hierarchy.
And yes, I think there was sexism but don’t think it’s why she lost. And neither does her campaign.
Obama folks could not have asked for anything more out of the concession speech. She got his name out there 14 times in half an hour. She was game. She really was. Even though I kept thinking..”she’d probably rather be chewing glass”.
I’m sorry blogees to be short and subpar today, but it’s 99 degrees or something here and my head is fogged up.
I wanted to do an ode to politicians. Maybe next week.
I’m leaving you for the rest of this one.

Did I mention the nuptials are two days after the democratic convention and two days before the republican convention?.

Good Morning Candy,
Not to be overly dramatic about this Hillary deal, but have ya ever been either been the victim of a crime or get cheated? Theres this lingering feeling that you were inherently wronged and no matter what the end result, that gut wrenching feeling just never goes away. In this case, I do tend to remember the folks involved in engineering the whole deal (the wrongfulness part) and look for the opportunity to either bash them or perhaps wish them ill will. Then you regain your sanity and remember the old saying, "Every dog has his day" and you just hope those folks end up being dogs best friend, the fire plug.

i want to go on record as saying that in the front of my mind i know that Team Obama/Clinton would be a republican slaughter(IN THEORY).. but in the back of my mind i also know that the two would bring out too many negatives, that Mr. Obama's message of change would conflict with her as a choice, and that all Clinton's OLD and New scandals would be an albatross around his neck.. Season this scenario with some good old fashion BILL Clinton salt and it would still leave a bland taste to the mouth. The republicans would have a field day with just those 2 alone.. not too mention Obama judgement for chosing them. I would whole-heartedly support this duo.. yet i would prepare myself in advance of the possibility of the drama it'll cause.
I just don't understand what Obama did that was so wrong that you will not vote for him. It just doesn't make any sense. Yes, there was sexism but there was way more racism. The Obama camp just didn't speak about it. The shirt that had the Monkey on it eating a banana. Doors being slammed in kids faces who were going door to door for Obama. Men and Women not wanting to touch him like his color would rub off on them.
The GOP is using everything that the Clinton Camp said about Obama in their campaign. She opened the door. Obama has been gracious and nice in uplifting Hillary and Bill Clinton.
You can tell you all were for Hillary cause she was a woman, why would you want someone that put her campaign in debt, had people in her camp that should not have been there. What would she do with our money and who would she have in her cabinet. These are questions that you have to ask yourself. She her husband and her camp said things that should not have come out their mouths. Name one thing that Obama said out the way about the Clintons. Just one. I was on her site on Ustream when she endorsed Obama on Saturday and the hatred in that room. People using the N word calling us Monkeys it was sad. I didn't know whether to be angry or scared that people still feel that way. I remember asking myself what did black people do to white people for them to hate us this much. I hear almost daily that African Americans are for Obama cause he is one of us. That is so not true. In fact I was for Hillary at first until her and Bills strange comments. It just made me take a closer look at what Obama was saying and guess what he made alot of sense. So that is why alot of us are voting for him. Hillary had the African American vote long before Obama until all those comments starting coming out Bill, Hillary and the people in her camp. You all want to say Obama is Muslim, he doesn't wear a flag pin, his name, his pastor, his church, Michelle's comment and whatever else. When you know it is just an excuse for what is really in your heart. Have you taken a look at his character? Think about it, what if someone said they didn't like you or wouldn't give you something for any of those reasons, how would you feel? You would think the person was crazy. So, if you want something to blame. Blame Hate cause there was alot of it going around and I didn't see any of it coming out of the Obamas mouth.
Really what makes so many of you think you have a right to tell to our nominee Barack Obama who to pick for VP. Now I have to walk on egg shell as not to upset any of hilery clintons supporters. tough tiddy, suck it up and deal with the truth. The Clintons are out because they under estimated the intelligence of the American people. Pandering the gas holiday tax break. Making lies up about her foreign journeys. She step over political lines so many times it was a laugh. worst of all she use the poor and uneducated people to split the ranks. And she still played games with this race when she lost. She played a dirty game. and now she suppose to be the VP. Face it if she hadn't been the a first lady , she would not be any where close to where she at to day. And the DNC bent the rules for her more than any other political person in history. Some one has to say it. Many of you, just don't like change of any kind. and a Black man is just a little to much change for you. But I am not willing to let any man white or black in the white house with the same values as George Bush. So lose your foolish fears and wise up Barack Obama is this partys choice. no one was cheated. so quit making up lies about the truth so you can sleep at night. If you don't like him fine don't vote for him. If you vote for McCain it should be because you just love and admire him. any other reason, like spite is just a dirty filthy thing to do.
FORMER CLINTON SUPPORTERS
We all agree she waged a tiger campaign, salute to the Hillary, she showed women can be somebody. But my condolence is to those who are saying they are not going to vote for Obama, We make choices in this world, but would you want another 8 years of war. Some of your children will be drafted to war, Mothers, Mothers, arise, and remember the road to life lies infront. This is what God has given you, Obama, nurture him, he will be a blessings to all. He listens to advise and he has never been disrespectful to Hillary.

As far as women who supported Hillary Clinton, and many men that I come in contact with, who were also Clinton supporters, they will vote for Obama in November and hold their noses: to quote John McCain's mother regarding her son's candidacy..
We still have many questions about Obama. He's a little slippery and his message really is not too clear. But in the end the Democrats will all come together.
Yes, I am unhappy about Hillary's loss, but most of my anger is directed toward the higherarchy of the Democratic Party and the Media.
It is obvious that misygyny is alive and well in the media, at least at CNN and MSNBC. And of course the Democrats have always been know to eat their own. The party leadership has no idea what loyalty is. And of course, they have always feared the Clintons for their tenacity brilliance and charasmatic personalities.
As far as the snarkey, petty female media pundits on the cable, non of them would ever have arrived at their positions without the feminist movement and women like Hillary. It is obvious that many of these female pundits are not capable of delivering an original thought,
and are following the agendas and opinions of their superiors, most whom are man. These women read the scripts that are
given them by the men in charge and accept the sexismn and misogyny without question.
I said Hiallry or McCain.
DNC said Obama.
I say McCain.
Why? Experience!

Enjoy your vacation, you have definitely earned some time to relax. I know you have the big event but that will be fun.
Candy, some may feel differently in November.......likely. However, we
are disillusioned with so many things that might not be easily repaired. I'm not sure I will get over the rulings against Fl or MI. Yet
OB approves of Howard Dean, of course he does. It's a sad time when
you feel an election was predestined by so many (Press and DNC.)
Congrats to Hillary for making a difference. Her experience and wisdom have never been more needed in the Oval Office. Will I vote
for OB, don't see that happening. He's a slick one but that makes him
so unattractive. I hope Michelle can be proud to be an American henceforth, most of us have grown up never feeling anything less.
