Great CJ. Most people will have a different perspective if they listen. I have learned when I view things with an open heart I make the right decision. The article in the Chicago Tribune really tells a lot a the man.

Lots of questions . . . As for alien culture, what I meant is that the return of Rev. Wright and the repeat of his sermons on the air might suggest to some voters that Obama comes from a culture that is alien to many Americans. Wright is a good spokesman for himself, but the subject is probably not one that Obama would like to be discussing now.
Religion vs. "a bunch of nuts." There is nothing wrong with being nuts or having eccentric views. You can only lose your children if you subject them to abuse or neglect. And incest, as another viewer suggests, is clearly a form of abuse. What's more interesting is whether all the kids should be taken away if only a few have been abused. I don't know the answer to that question, but I bet it comes up.

Is there any more word as to how many parents actually left the compound for parts unknow? Thats what I heard reported yesterday that many are thought to have fled the area already leaving their kids behind, is this true?
Wow! this FLDS situation is just too sum up in these talks. But my gut feeling is, that the children sholud stays with the MOTHERS, UNTIL it is sorted out..

It's so bizarre that Rosita Swinton's mental issues were the catalyst for bringing down FLDS–she needs help, but her actions will ultimately help some girls who are in trouble there.
if this girl was smart she would have gotten a pay by minute pone so it could not be so easily tracked...
Maybe all these kids should be sent through a deprogramming program and then be given a choice if they want to go back or not.

(I am not usually an outspoken fan of anyone, TV folks or not, but I have admired your contributions for a long time and glad for the opportunity to tell you so in almost real-time!)

Well, after seeing the video of this 33 year old woman, it is apparent that she has a problem. So she's on probation, what was the plea deal? I hope it is to go get some help.
Cynthia, I have listened to two complete surmons, and after having done so, I changed my mind as to my thoughts on the whole issue. I was at first pretty livid about it all, but not any longer. If you listen to it you have to do so with an open mind and really listen to it all, you will really gain a greater insight at what he was saying

The children had to be removed from the compound or they would have been taken away to another location by their parents. That's how these people opperate.
So, how did this woman find this information on the FLDS ranch anyway?
As a foster parent,my feelings are mixed about the removal of the children of FLDS.They are accustomed to their family unit and being thrust into a world with questionable social values such as America has,could be very damaging.On the other hand,if abuse is proven then removal is the only way to protect them from predatory older males.
If it turns out that there is no abuse in the homes,rather only the disgruntled opinion of former church members who have an axe to grind,then even so,this damage done to these young hearts and minds is un-do-able.If this is a hoax,then the perpetrator needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent the law will allow.
Reguarding David Gergen and the other commentators insight to church leaders comments. I was a member of a totally white Southern Baptist church in Kentucky. It was preached weekly that races do not intermarry or become involed in personal relationships. It was also common practice to remind you to vote for the current Republican candidate. I believe racism and politics are more prevalent than we may want to admit. Maybe we should be willing to attend each others church before we comment . Because it is in church , that we learn "not" to judge one another.
this is sad for Obama on a personal level that he pretty much stood by his pastor atleast at first and now he is making him look bad. Most poeple were looking for Obama to diown him ...
I think what they're doing to the kids is unfair. Maybe they should have counselors go into the compound to continue counseling the children but to just snatch them away from the lives they know is unfair. I know there are problems within the compound but there are many ways to go about solving this problem
