Morning Buzz

Morning folks...

Tonight - ANDERSON COOPER TAKES A LOOK AT HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON’S LIFE…AND THE EVENTS THAT HAVE SHAPED HER…FROM CHILDHOOD ASPIRATIONS…Her best friend BETSY EBELING telling Anderson that Hillary wanted to be a doctor. TO her MARITAL TROUBLES… BETSY says "the way they found their way back to each other, was definitely through Chelsea." AND EVENTUALLY HER CHOICE TO RUN FOR POLITICAL OFFICE…Another friend MARY STEENBURGEN said "I watched her go from absolutely laughing at him and not taking him seriously to having this little moment where you saw her go, could I even think about doing that?" AC360 TAKES A LOOK AT all THESE events in her life AND MORE…Events THAT HAVE PREPARED CLINTON FOR THE BIGGEST RACE OF HER LIFE…

AND it has been another long long week down in polygamyland...Yesterday was a child custody hearing like no other. 411 kids represented by 350 attorneys....Court resumes today and David Mattingly  will have the latest. PLUS... Is the Pentagon Funding Polygamy? Turns out the department of defense entered into 1.7 million dollars worth of contracts with three companies owned by leaders of Warren Jeffs’ FLDS sect. Money from those contracts was funneled to Jeffs and his church. Correspondent Randi Kaye is keeping them honest with confirmation from the Pentagon and an affidavit that shows the money was sent from the companies to the church. Even worse, some of the contracts were entered into after Jeffs was put on the FBI’s Most Wanted List. Some of the contracts came even after church leader Warren Jeffs was put on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list and after public reports associating top company officials such as Wendell Neilsen with Jeffs. Should those kind of relationships have raised red flags?

ALSO - The Colorado Springs Police Department has arrested a 33 year old female on an Arrest Warrant charging her with False Reporting to Authorities, a misdemeanor charge. This arrest stemmed from an incident that occurred in Colorado Springs in February of this year. The woman is identified as Rozita Swinton...Ironically, The Texas Rangers were in Colorado Springs yesterday as part of their investigation involving the compound in Texas. CNN is NOT sure yet if there is a connection to the Texas raid....

AND FINALLY....The Pope takes Manhatten today…He goes to the United Nations, visits Manhattan's Park East Synagogue, this marks the first ever visit by a Pope to a Synagogue in the U.S. Then he is off to St Joseph Parish for prayer service...Anderson interviewed a few of the "abuse" victims that met with the Pope on last night's show...check out the emotional interviews on our website...

And THIS JUST IN...a 5.4 magnititude earthquake hit 66 miles from Evansville, Illinois....it was felt all the way to Chicago...There are NO reports of injuries, we will keep you posted...

AND with the POPE in town, I can literally say THANK GOD it is FRIDAY....

I was looking forward to looking at the debate Wed. After it was over I was left with a bad taste. I felt like Gibson and Stephanopoulos were at a grade school assembly. I was very disapointed in the questions.

Good coverage of Presidential candidates' debate. There is so much political discourse going on with 15 rounds of debates the Presidential candidates are getting punchy. Credit has to be given to all three Senators running for President. The task to campaign is overwhelming at times is rewarding and at times tedious. Each candidate that ran for Prez this year should also be given recognition. I would love to watch your show tonight. With AC/360 comes Anderson Cooper.

It is a welcomed gesture the Pope met with abuse victims. I wonder if he has or will meet with any groups of women? They seem to be missing from the picture!

Wow. Just when I thought I heard all with regards to the FLDS,
there might be a Pentagon connection. I find it amazing that
a quake hit in the midwest . 5.4 seems kinda high for the region.
I would understand tremors because they happen all of the time.
But that is definitely a bona fide quake.

There is a bit of a buzz about the Bloomberg "ADULT" comment which is very valid regarding the current election. There is also buzz about Obama "whining and complaining" and refusing to debate...The polygamy and pope stories are just plain old boring

Interesting that the earthquake that hit the midwest happened on the 102nd Anniversary of the Great San Francisco Earthquake. Scary.

    Mr. Cooper

I've been a Catholic a long time. Schooled by nuns, an alter boy eight years and been throught most of the scaraments. For most, this abuse issue is difficult to deal with and I pray for the victims. I have a novel idea and say I this in jest only. Let's privatize the catholic church. It seems that's the only way the real criminals will be put where they belong. Think about it.

I like both candidates Barrack & Hillary. Both are great people. But when it comes to my vote, I pick Barrack. Why? He is the better of the two. His upbringing, integrity, intellect, honesty & looking at US (people), Washington & the world from a different angle is very impressive. Hillary is very much a typical American politician, an insider, at least fortunately she is a women. She is certainly better than McCain. She has played a few dirty tricks over Obama, to win, to be the President. This is unacceptable to me. America is certainly not a paradise & has gotten worse during the last 7 years. We all want to make America a better place to live. We need to be good role models to this world. Regarding GW, common sense is missing & I cant wait for him to exit.

Please Explain why a polymayist community is allowed to exist in the USA ? Why are the police in those towns also involved in breaking the law and no one is taking responsibility? Where is the State and Federal goverment agencies ? If the local police are protecting or aiding these actions, whose liable? Why is nothing happening to the corrupt police agencies involved? Where is the AG's office? Please email back or response to our public.

Obama is without a doubt going to be the next president of the U.S. Hillary and Bill are really beginning to look like a bunch of reckless drivers about to hit a wall. keep up the good work Anderson and Erica.

A bit off topic but why have the media not picked up on Hillary not being able to talk/debate without looking down-up or sideways? Rarely does she look anyone in the eye when she searches for answers.

It's worth interviewing an expert to find out if these means anything.

It is really scary that one person can cause so many problems in so many lives. I am not saying that I agree with what is happening on the polygamist ranch, but I am scared that some sick-o can make up a story about me or my family (or my church for that matter) and have my children taken away. How is that even justified? I hope these kids are okay in the long run, but I don't know who really has the kids' interests in mind. Taking a 5 year old disabled boy from his mother is wrong. (My son is autistic, and as of right now he would loose control if he were swept out of his environment.) The woman who made the call should be made to paid for all these lawyers and court fees. How does a government go from getting a "prank call" to removing 416 kids from their homes? It is just plain scary........

I sincerely hope that when Anderson Cooper, as the great journalist he is, dig into Hillary Clinton’s life, he doesn’t do what all the rest of us in media seem to cover up: Whitewater. Travelgate. Cowgate.

Why don't media in the US dare to touch these incidents in this campaign? Instead the focus is on who’s drinks beer and who’s wearing the USA-pin on their suits...?
