Morning Buzz

Morning folks...

Tonight we begin a series of candidate profiles...Tonight's focus: Senator Barack Obama. Barack Obama is known for his smooth oratorical skills, his easy way, and his supreme confidence.  But he wasn’t always the sure-footed politician we see today.  The son of an African father and a white mid-western mother, Obama was mostly raised by his white grandparents.  He struggled with his identity and where he fit in.  Obama’s closest high school friend tells Anderson that he felt abandoned by his parents, and left out at his mostly white, mostly wealthy high school.  He found a place to belong on the basketball court, but off the court he struggled…experimenting with drugs to numb the confusion.  Obama’s community organizing boss tells AC360 he was a chronic underachiever, until college when his mother’s influence finally came to bear and he began applying himself.  Obama continued struggling with his identity, searching for a place to belong throughout his younger years.  He finally found that place in the African American community in Chicago, joining an African American church, and marrying a black woman from the south side.  And somewhere along the way, he also found his purpose.  Looking back now it looks as if, that young man who was searching so hard to find his identity had all along been on a journey toward the white house

Also, Dr. Sanjay Gupta explores the many sides of former Heisman Trophy winner, NFL running back Herschel Walker. His new book "Breaking Free" details Walker's life living with dissociative identity disorder (AKA multiple personalities). Walker's revelation caught many former teammates and coaches by surprise. Dr. Sanjay Gupta sat down with Walker, who described the various facets of his disorder, and explained how the various personalities may not be aware of one another, or have access to all memories. Dr. Sanjay Gupta explores this fascinating disorder, speaking to Walker, his physician, and his former wife. This is MUST SEE TV...

AND David Mattingly continues on the poylgamy beat in Texas. AC360 was granted exclusive access to the YFZ (Yearning for Zion) Ranch last night....we heard from many of the women, who have NOW been separated from their children...Fascinating stuff... PLUS Dan Simon's interview with Winston Blackmore will hopefully air tonight. Blackmore, the polygamous leader who broke away from Warren Jeffs and resides north of the border, reacts to the Texas raid....

AND lets not forget the POPE...He arrives around 4 pm eastern...we will track his FIRST journey to the United States....Man oh man, there is a lot going on tonight!!!!

Wow Anderson, a great forum for you tonight, but can now show your true bias against HIllary Clinton.
Who's keeping you honest , I thought you would be the one anchor that would report the news, not slant it to the obvious media.
Now i understand why Clinton doesnot come on your show, whats the use, she doesn't stand a chance.

Wow CNN focusing on Obama? What a surprise, you have been focusing on him for six months now.
While you are at it again why don’t you find out what he thinks of Hamas and Iran specifically. Not our policy but just what he thinks of them.
I also like him to comment on what Wright just said that CNN failed to report on.
It is amazing that CNN always likes to cover for Obama and not report on the negatives.
And yet you manage to keep on every negative subject on Hillary and McCain.

Can't wait to watch tonight's segment on Senator Obama. How can anyone possibly accuse him of being an elitist? I don't believe Sen. Obama, or the other two, can reverse the awful decline that our country has experienced; but I do believe he's the only one that can put a finger in the dyke, and prevent further damage. He is truly what a lot of people consider to be "presidential material".

AC 360 was awesome last night with the reports from
the Texas compound. I will be tuning in tonight ; it
sounds like a fantastic program for tonight. This
might sound like a stupid question , but could any
of Walker's disorder be connected to football from
him talking multiple hits on the football field ?

Please, please, please no more about "Bitter"!
Hillary can misspeak (Bosnia), actually a lie and Obama can't choose the wrong wording? Both of them have been going at this for a year now so I think sometimes words are going to be "misspoken" however misspoken is different from a lie.
Enough – lets get back to the issues!!!!

That woman Anderson interviewed last night from that polygamy cult appeared to have been hatched from a pod. Scary stuff.

I hope you had a nice vacation AC. I am glad you are in charge of the anchor desk. Welcome home. Your coverage of the polygamy issue was very good. Good line of questions indeed. I like your hairstyle this way it makes you look more distinguished. Keep the top fuller and the sides longer it's perfect.

Finally, the truth comes out. I was curious how The Senator would handle the situation of low to poor income Americans. The Presidency has alway been associated with the upper classes. Most of The Senators' supporters have been average Americans. People of color, in places like Brooklyn are supporting an image they believe will Champion their causes. The truth is how can any Candidate address all interests.without Pandering. The Senator has not said he can really address the concerns of average Americans. The upper classes are footing the bill for his campaige. Try speaking honestly to those people that are supporting you. If you are really the Candiate for change, your message will prevail. If your just pandering these people, then the truth be known. I don't support your message for change. I know real change is very difficult to achieve no matter who holds the reignes of power. Your the new kid on the block. Once that newness wears off, what do you really have to offer ?!?

I hope that 360 does an in depth report on EVERYTHING about Obama not just the good! If you all can dog Hillary like you have been then it is about time for him to get a taste of it don't you think? And NO...I don't support Hillary.

I can't wait to see Sanjay's interview with Herschel Walker! I loved watching him play but never knew that he had multiple personality disorder. That is a shock! Can't wait to see what he has to say about that.

And can I say that Anderson needs to take a vacation from his vacation it seems! He looked horrible last night. He looked completely wore out. You don't do vacations well do you? Get some rest man!

Thanks for you nice little Obama tribute this morning. It was interesting to read it. All the best. 🙂 And LET us forget the pope, please. (Forgive me, god, but I think Obama and others are more spiritual than the pope will ever be)

I think this explains more the "nerve" Clinton and McCain struck calling him elitist.

If I were him, the gloves would come off too.
