Amanda Davies on Luis Suarez: "This is a man whose nickname among the Dutch and the British media is 'The Cannibal'"

On the heels of a bizarre biting incident at the World Cup, on Tuesday evening Anderson Cooper welcomed CNN's Amanda Davies and former boxing champion Evander Holyfield, asking each to offer their reaction.

In a match against Italy, Uruguay star Luis Suárez allegedly chomped down on opponent Giorgio Chiellini's shoulder, and as Davies noted, it's hardly the striker's only incident.

"It's not the first time it's happened, it's not the second time it's happened, it's the third time it has happened," she explained. "This is a man whose nickname among the Dutch and the British media is 'The Cannibal.'"

Holyfield, meanwhile, was famously bitten on the ear during a fight with Mike Tyson, and on Tuesday took to his Twitter account to draw the parallel:

Of Suarez's accused behavior, Holyfield admitted to being disheartened.

"It was sad in one aspect because it's been done many a time," he told Cooper. "It's an awful thing."
