Woody Allen's lawyer speaks out about Dylan Farrow's sex abuse allegations

Attorney Elkan Abramowitz represents Woody Allen. When it comes to Dylan Farrow's allegations of sex abuse, he points to the criminal investigation into the matter from 1993 and argued this is a closed case.  "They concluded the molestation did not occur," he said.  That set off a heated debate on AC360 Later.

I just have to say that I am wondering about Sunny Hostin's discernment. In this and the issue about the brain dead mother in Texas, she comes off as if she believes she is omniscient in some way, speaking in sweeping judgmental generalizations about both subjects. As far as I know, no one on this earth has all the answers.

The Farrow/Allen story is lengthy and complex and at it's very core, dysfunctional. On both sides. In cases like this, both parties need to be heard from which Sunny is apparently not willing to wait for. In her words, "most" or "all" reports of abuse have some truth in them and that is ridiculous. I am not without experience, either. I have been accused of the same, investigated, and later exonerated. In my case, I was accused as a retaliatory act and that was proven to be so.

I have read Robert Weide's article about these allegations and I have to say, it gives rise to a plausible amount of doubt as to the truth and veracity of the story and whether or not this could be some sort of shot in an ongoing salvo. The one who accused me did not miss an opportunity to drag their accusation out, even though they were warned repeatedly that the matter was closed. I see much the same here.

As such, I would be very careful about drawing a line. I am more disheartened by Ms. Hostin's clear refusal to hear any voice but her own. It's not that I do not think all allegedly abused kids are liars, quite the contrary. When it is clear and convincing, the guilty party or parties need to be made to answer for it. How that takes place is not for me to say. What is my job is to "be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger."

I would hope the same for Ms. Hostin and any of the commentators on this program.

Mia Farrow has always had some kind of huge, mammoth sexual 'problem' – some kind of distorted, twisted, demented issue about sex.

Way back when the Beatles visited Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India (Mia Farrow was also there at that time), Mia Farrow made a grand-standing announcement that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi had tried to molest or seduce her. I did not believe it then and I don't believe her or her daughter now. Mia is 'sick' – suffers from some kind of mental illness when it comes to the subject\issue of sex.

George Harrison never believed her Maharishi claims. No one should. She has a serious mental health illness and she spread it to her kids. She has poisoned an awful lot of people with her illness – including her whole family.
