What's behind a new warning about al Qaeda?

The top U.S. intelligence chief says al Qaeda has morphed into at least five factions in a dozen countries. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper also warned that one of the groups has set up training camps in Syria to plan attacks on the United States. Anderson discussed all of this with National Security Analyst Peter Bergen.

Keeping Them Honest: Atlanta's blizzard of blame

How could a couple of inches of snow bring Atlanta to a halt? That’s the question many are asking. Some drivers abandoned their cars on the gridlocked highway. Others spent the night sheltering wherever they could find a warm place to stay. No one can control the weather, but Atlanta's mayor is getting plenty of blame for the chaos that's still going on there.

Meet the police officer who delivered a baby on icy interstate

At 5:20 p.m. the number of people stuck in Atlanta's monster traffic jam grew by one.  Police Officer Tim Sheffield helped deliver Grace Anderson on an icy highway. He told Anderson that Grace’s mom, who gave birth in the family’s car, was a "super trouper."

Justin Bieber’s latest legal trouble

Justin Bieber turned himself in at a Toronto police station. He is accused of assaulting a limo driver. That's on top of the D.U.I. arrest in Miami and the alleged egging of a neighbor's mansion in California. Randi Kaye has the latest.

Anderson discussed the situation with former Federal Prosecutor Sunny Hostin and Criminal Defense Attorney Mark Geragos.

Ill-fated cruise ends as hundreds of sick passengers return home

The Royal Caribbean cruise ship 'Explorer of the Seas' returned to its port in Bayonne, New Jersey two days early. Nearly 700 people onboard were sickened by a gastrointestinal illness. Their symptoms were consistent with the norovirus. Which is to say it wasn’t a pretty sight on board that ship. Elizabeth Cohen spoke to passengers as they returned to shore.

Congressman threatens reporter: "I'll throw you off this f*****g balcony"

After every State of the Union Address we expect to hear lawmakers give their opinions on the president's speech. But we don't expect a U.S. congressman to physically threaten the reporter asking questions. House Republican Michael Grimm of New York flew into a rage when a hometown reporter asked him about the federal investigation into his campaign-fundraising.
