If you would rather die than run a couple miles, this may be the race for you. All it takes to qualify is a healthy fear of the undead. As with any large gathering of zombies, danger is part of the mix. But in this case, running from zombies can be riskier than getting caught by them. Find out for yourself on the RidicuList.
I live in in the greater Indianapolis area and 5 or 6 of my friends had just got ourselves zombified for the Zombie Run last year. Last year we had a severe drought. As we were walking through the neighborhood to get to the Run we saw a house across the street with flames running up the porch trellis and we could see a family sitting down to supper inside. Immediately we ran across the street half of us tried stomping out the rapidly spreading fire and the others frantically pounded on the front door. When the door opened we screamed "Your house is on fire!" The woman screamed as she sees a bunch of zombies surrounding her house and obviously the fire. The man at the table took both pitchers off the table and threw it on the fire ran back, refilled and eventually we got the fire out just before it caused serious damage. Once the immediate threat was over the woman started screaming and pounding the chest of the man about using the ashtray for his cigarettes. The family thanked us Zombies and we went on our way.
