Horse trainers Randall Weidner and Lindsay White lost all 12 of their thoroughbred and quarter horses when a tornado destroyed their home and barn in Moore, Oklahoma on May 20. Edit for my comment: I put TN as I was thinking of Toby Keith but it is Oklahoma, sorry. I checked for a bioflex clinic in Oklahoma and there isn't a bioflex laser clinic there, but I'm sure there must be other low intensity laser therapy clinics in the area. If you search for equine wound healing with low intensity laser therapy I'm sure you will find many articles.
Gary thank you for covering this story. So many horses had perished and are injured. They are part of the owner's family and this is that trainers livelihood as well. My heart goes out to everyone who has suffered a loss in this tornado. God bless them and may he heal them quickly.
I am an RN and a Certified Laser Therapist. I have successfully treated humans, dogs and even horses with low intensity laser therapy. I treated only two horses, but successfully, for saddle bruise and chronic inflammation at a surgical site. Please visit bioflexlaser.com and you can review the treatment and view a video of a horse retired from racing because of a knee injury and was healed using the laser therapy and returned to racing. This therapy is being used by veterinarians. It is incredible in its healing of inflammation and wounds. Bioflex laser therapy has clinics worldwide. I checked and don't see one in TN but there should be other laser clinics in your area. If I lived close by I would treat as many as I could for you. I hope that you can find a laser therapist to help you. My heart breaks for all the people who suffered any loss in the tornado, especially family members which includes animals. Be strong. My best wishes, MaryAnne, Ontario Canada.
Gary thanks for showing the poor horses and the dedicated people trying their best to save them. My heart goes out to the horses too!
