When a family has honored God and taught their children to honor God, it shows in their faces and in their spirits–God's grace shines forth. May you be comforted in knowing that this precious child is safe "In the Arms of Jesus" and may your lives continue to reflect God's grace!

Blessed be His holy name...

I can't believe what I just saw. All of these children had so much promise...a future that was cut way to short....I believe this child had so much promise and she and her brother were going places...that I can see. I only hope that her brother does something wonderful in life to show the world how wonderful his sister was. I am a loss for words....really....

What a beautiful, precious little girl with the voice of an angel. How heartbreaking! Even now she is singing praises in the presence of Christ. She knows only pure, complete joy in His presence. My heart breaks for her family but I pray that they will find comfort in knowing where their little girl is and they will one day be reunited with her in heaven. My prayers are with this family and with all who have suffered this terrible tragedy.

I pray that God will allow you to feel his touch and her presence in life's simplest gestures, and allow wonderful memories to bring you JOY. I pray that you will not have to be sad always but will find peace and comfort somehow.

What happend to those angles are very turible indeed. I wish we can extend our feeling to all of the children's around the world who are been brutaly killed in the civil war in Syria and other parts of the world they are also children like ours and deserve our thoughts and sympathy. If our government are so moved and touched by this tragedy, I thing they should be moved and do something about what is happening to other children around the world. This is what good America is all about?

Rest in peace. Ana Marquez-Greene was my cousin. My young, beautiful cousin who had her entire life ahead of her. She'll never get to live the life she deserved. My poor baby will never graduate, go to college, fall in love, get married, or really experience life. An angel was taken away from the world.

    Hello Mr. Anderson,

I would like to have a few words regarding to the victims. My heart is broken when I heard about the tragic to all the beautiful children and to all the teachers. I want to give my condolence to all the victims family. Although, the victims will be remember but I did not hear anything about the mother of the shooter, she is a victim as well. I do not think anybody can blamed her for this tragedy at all. We can remember and prey for her also.

So you don't think the mother of the killer is to blame at all, even though the killer's entire arsenal was bought by her and registered to her. What did she need with a Bushmaster rifle? Not only did she get what she deserved, if she had survived she should have been culpable. She was so worried about "bad guys" that it didn't occur to her that she was raising one.

Those who didn't support this country when in need, join the military, should not be qualified to own a semi auto pistol and/or rifle, but should only be allowed to own a revolver type pistol and/or a single shot rifle. This thinking would meet the constitutional rights to bare and own firearms and hunt, target shoot, and defend ones home. Also, the laws must change to make those who take lives, have a greater penality once convicted of a shooting crime, and for those who sold the gun without a FBI and local police department check of purchersers qualifications..

You hear ALL these 'pro-gun' people screaming about their 2nd amendment rights! Well, here is part of the dictionary meaning for AMENDMENT-' 1. the act of amending or the state of being amended . 2. an alteration of or addition to a motion, bill, constitution , etc–SO, when you hear people saying the 2nd amendment guarantees 'this and that', their only partially right! An 'amendment' is NOT carved in stone! It CAN be changed to reflect the 'times' we live in', ect! BUT, when I hear people say, 'It's against my 2nd amendment rights", the only thing I can say is that they DON"T KNOW WHAT THEIR TALKING ABOUT! In this particular instance, a BAN on guns (automatic pistols/rifles), CAN be enacted by AMENDING an amendment! Whatever their political 'stripe', politicians have to seriously look at this, and take whatever action is necessary, As we know, pistols, and long guns, can still cause death, but automatic guns/rifles
have NO place in this society! I think a good topic for you'r show would be to get some constitutional lawyers in to talk about what an AMENDMENT' really' means, and the process involved to alter/change parts of that amendment I'm SURE someone will say, 'If I had to, I could get a gun somewhere', that's true! BUT would the penalties that would be involved make it worthwhile? If Americans REALLY care about their security, and their way of life, this HAS to be delt with! In 2004, 29,000+ people died as a result of guns! The 9/11 attack resulted in between 2700 to 3500! So YOU tell me, WHO are the REAL terrorists?

I would like to share that we the parents, need to have some tools when our children are mentally disturbed, to be able to ask for medical appointments for our children; also, this children usually have no permanent job or school, therefore they have no health insurance and we need new law, meaning if someone needs psychiatrist/psychologist it should be available. This people, children or very young adults needs place to go and take care off, they do not need to stay in prisons or streets. Money should not be decide mental health of our society.

Please listen Americans!! How many more lives must be lost, before you people scrap your "Right to bare Arms". The British aren't coming to get you anymore!! OUTDATED!! In Canada, you must take an exam to obtain a license for possession of a firearm, FAC (Firearms Acquistion Certificate). One portion is for possession, another portion is for ammo possession (acquistion). You can have as many guns as you want (rifles, but handguns must be registered) but, no ammo unless you have acquistion, which is the lengthy portion of the exam. NOBODY needs automatic or semi-automatic guns, except military or law enforcement. Make ammo attainment HARD. With extensive background checks. Let people have as many guns as they want, but no ammo for private citzens, not necessary at all. I know that driving throught my city, Victoria, B.C., that the car beside me does not contain a gun, not so when I cross the border.... I understand that in the States, you buy a gun and wait 5 days, and bingo you have one. To easy, Way to easy. MAKE AMMO POSSESSION EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. Private citizens do not need a handgun in their purse or backpack. It absolutely boggles my mind. Think how much safer everyone would feel, if it wasn't so. Change it. You need to. Just my opinion. No ammo, LESS problems

Such a beautiful little girl! An angel! I just finished "Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back." I hope it's true. If so, perhaps, Ana's family can find some comfort in believing that she and the other children are now with their Heavenly Father in a place of perfect peace and love and that they will see her again one day. There is an ancient text (I believe it's Sumarian) that said "Death is going to sleep in one world and waking up in another." I hope that's true. Whatever the case, please (whatever faith you are) pray for the families; they are the ones left behind to struggle with their loss; and honor those children by doing good deeds in their names and paying it forward whenever you can.

My heart goes out to these victims, friends and family. Our nation is hurting today. I am a southern man and a gun owner. I took my sons quail hunting this past sunday to spend time with them. I own firearms such as bolt action rifles and shotguns for bird hunting. Ive always supported the 2nd amendment. However, I would agree to try something to change this negative momentum and try and stump this seemingly increasing violent trend. I think all assault weapons should be banned and more robust background checks put into place. This includes a ban on all high capacity magazines. Im also in favor of limiting the purchase of the ammunition these weapons use, .223, .233, 9mm and 7.62×54 which is AK-47 rounds. Again, I love the outdoors and spending time in the outdoors but these weapons have no purpose for hunting or in a civilian theatre, period. In addition, we can adjust gun laws and the 2nd amendment without addressing the 1st amendment. We have to take a hard look and stop the violent video games, movies and tv shows our young people have access to. Single parents and working americans are at risk of our kids being baby sit by this type of violence. We have to do a better job of engaging young people. Garbage in garbage out. God bless Sandy Hook!

Thank you for your heartfelt coverage of the children and the complete prayer vigil. I pray that someday there will be prayer at the site of the killings. A 93 year old Notre Dame nun, Sister Christine Elias "collaborates with other members of the Omaha community to hold prayer vigils at the scenes of shootings. When asked if she things it makes a difference, she swiftly replies, "Absolutely. Taking prayer right to where the killing took place is so important. Crime not only affects the family, but the entire neighborhood. We want them to realize they are not alone. Their fellow citizens are concerned, involved and willing to support." Anderson President Obama said he would do anything in his power to stop this senseless violence-Being a Special Education Teacher I am wondering what the school did for this lost person Adam. Under the law (IDEA) schools are required to provide transitional services to students with disabilities. I don't know whether or not the shooter had any advising or services, but if the High School he attended did not provide this service and he was one of the many who slipped through the cracks, then they have some responsibility. This horrific act may have been avoided.

Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), transition planning from school to adult life begins, at the latest, during high school. In fact, transition planning is required, by law, to start once a student reaches 16 years of age, or younger, if appropriate. This transition planning becomes formalized as part of the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). The IEP is a written document listing, among other things, the special educational services that the child will receive. The IEP is developed by a team that includes the child's parents and school staff.

Transition services are intended to prepare students to make the transition from the world of school to the world of adulthood. In planning what type of transition services a student needs to prepare for adulthood, the IEP team considers areas such as postsecondary education or vocational training, employment, independent living, and community participation.

Has anyone taken notice to what played on television on Thursday evening? A television show called PANIC 9-1-1 was aired and it tells stories of tragedies. One was a man holding a gun to his ex wife's face....in CONNECTICUT. The show was titled 'BRING A LOT OF BODY BAGS". It aired on A&E. During the broadcast it also mentioned a show to be aired called "KILLER KIDS" (if I remember correctly).
Could this have been a trigger? Perhaps a profiler or detect could have a look at this?
